Comrades, today at 9 PM I made a huge mistake. Knowing the danger, I bought X3: Terran Conflict. Remembering the hypnotic power of the series, I won't return to the real world for at least a week, maybe even a month. Wow, the Elite series forum is hilarious. I went there for 5 minutes to download a patch for X3, and now I don't know how to leave. I thought our forum was the most chaotic, but no, they not only have serious topics that are active and very interesting, but they also encourage off-topic discussions in the designated sections. I've never seen anything like it, where random phrases from forum members are displayed on the main page with each update. Some of them stuck with me: "The rules on that forum are vague, but I didn't read them," Loki. These are true geeks, OMG, I'm hooked. I should note that the serious sections are completely free of off-topic discussions, which shows what good moderators can do. Help me come up with a nickname :D. I have a bunch of generic ones: Monarch, Revan, Maggot – there's no originality :( Siverfale, Alucard, WisTrit, and others – those are original, I haven't seen them on other forums. But Maggots and Revans are everywhere :) How do you brainstorm nicknames? :D

Well, my nickname isn't particularly original, but it's decent overall. Although, searching for it on VKontakte, I found about 20 people with the same nickname, about 15 on ICQ, and around 20 worldwide on Skype. Overall, it's not bad. The only other nickname I would consider using instead of my current one (although why would I?) is Harkonnen, although it's not very original either, but everything else is just terrible. As for using your imagination: not everyone can do that; role-players are good at it.

I considered changing my nickname to Gwynbleidd (pronounced gwinblade). It's the Elvish translation of White Wolf, which is what the dryads called Geralt. But not everyone would pronounce it correctly, so I eventually decided against it. As for "Major Whirlwind," I chose it for this forum because it's more lenient with nicknames; you can use Russian characters and even spaces. If that were the case everywhere, I would use it as my nickname everywhere, but unfortunately, that's not the case.
