Seryy, you've gone too far here. Minotaurs have the best stats for a tier 5. Excellent fighters. BUT!
Tol, I said that with a bit of sarcasm regarding the minotaurs. From what I remember, I only put cats on the first [week] a few times (there were their external dwellings). In most cases, I always put minos in the citadel+portal+troglodyte growth etc. IMHO, why do you even need those cats if minotaurs are cheaper and have almost the same stats? When there is a minotaur external dwelling, that's also a kind of cheat. I remember a party I had where on 131 I had nearly fifty minos (external dwelling and native Castle). That's no less of a cheat, but still, Shakti's piercing power from the start is better... As for my words, I meant that if there's no money to feast in the Dragon Utopia, or simply not enough meat, and the utopia must be taken specifically on this turn, then to save the striking stack of troglodytes, you can take minotaurs. 300+ troglodytes are more useful than 15 minos, agree!
tried taking the utopia on 3 today as well, basically fine but on this same map a miner would have taken it in 1 week maximum 2, which is a bit concerning
I don't like baseless statements. Taking the utopia on the first week on SM templates is an indicator of the highest mastery. If you take the statistics of the world's best players, taking utopias in the 1st week on random maps is quite a rarity (of course, I don't mean lol templates like Jebus Cross :D). First try to take the utopia at least by the third week with any Castle!!!
but if I hadn't messed up and forgotten to build the second guild then on 142 I could have properly met the miner with a normal army of 4 blacks and others fine) which probably wouldn't have been torn apart by 600 troglodytes
Before you start playing and arguing, read physmig and sit down and calculate the damage with a calculator considering this or that situation. In my party described above, 533 trogs wiped out a stack of 8 green dragons in one hit. So your 4 BD (I doubt you would have had 4 BD on 142 in a real online party) would have folded in one hit :).
and +- 20 troglodytes is not that critical
Believe me, even +- 5 troglodytes matters ;)
why then on 121 even in the first week 3 minis in the army compensate for the lack of troglodytes
3 minos on the first [week] is nothing :). I'm saying again, just read about damage mathematics. What can you do with 3 minotaurs in a conserve? A miner is capable, even in the worst-case scenario, of taking a conserve of 2 angels without losses on the first week!!! By the time you get 3 minotaurs, Shakti will have already picked up two or three (or even more) angels.
I'll try to prove it online later
Well, I'm already waiting for you to authorize me so we can finally play! Otherwise, over time, I lose the desire to argue about nothing and listen to words confirmed by nothing.

on impossible it is extremely difficult for meinvisible;200775

no I certainly don't claim to be a genius in tactical battles but with all due respect, not one even slightly sane person would charge dragons into the hit of 500 troglodytes without first attacking them with something else—cats for example could go and maybe cast paralysisinvisible;200775

It's extremely difficult for me on impassable terrain.
Then why are you writing something like this:
Today I also tried to take Utopia on day 3; it's okay, but on the same map, a Barbarian would take it in the first week, at most the second, which is a bit unsettling.
You can't argue with that, but you still need to find resources in the first week.
If you look, you can always find something. Either Angels, or Wyverns, or 500+ Trogols.
I can't wait.
So, let's postpone our pointless discussion until later... When we play... I'm immediately saying that I'm ready to play by any rules, except for the ban on shifted guards and diplomacy, but I will only play on 160% difficulty and with a 6-minute turn time (no less)!

I don't really care either, I'm just curious why not 200%? I'm just used to playing on 200%. If it's not too much trouble, could you send a link to the rules you usually play by? I can't seem to find them.
Just curious, why not 200%? I'm just used to 200%.
It's been discussed a thousand times! 1. It speeds up the start! Saving real time is a crucial factor! 2. There are far fewer hopeless situations, and you don't have to skip turns if you don't have enough money/resources.
P.S.: No need to prove anything to anyone. You can lose with Shakti and Galthran, but they won't become any less powerful because of it!
In The Third Age, Das can be a strong hero, no doubt, and if you level him up to level 7 in the first week, he's even stronger:smile20:
Please don't laugh, but here's what happened: I got Dungeon as my starting faction against 3 AI opponents on the "Queen" difficulty. My hero started with Das, and in the tavern, I found Shakti. In total, I had only 115 trolls, including the ones I bought:( I upgraded them... What should I do next? Specifically, which enemies can I attack, and which should I avoid (there's a group of Orcs and a horde of Gnolls nearby)? How should I divide the trolls into stacks for "field conditions"? Should I take the harpies (4 of them), and do I need the chapel (the one that provides a bonus to Medusas), which is visible on the horizon???
P.S. I'm just used to relying on archers, but I don't know how to play effectively with level 1 infantry:smile45: ...

2 Kostyan First of all, regarding the chapel. A textbook example of a 90% won game is Dungeon with Shakti and a dragon lair. WITHOUT taking other lairs (this is fundamentally important), you destroy the necessary one (ideally, the dragons), build portal towns, and buy them there. You can imagine how many resources you'll have by the third week. In this regard, I would personally advise you NOT to rush with capturing lairs when playing as Dungeon. Take a look around. Passages to other zones are interesting; you should try to clear them. There may be neutral castles there, which will be useful (they are often called "secondaries" because they didn't appear first, they weren't part of the initial distribution). Next. You need to buy more heroes, while also focusing on building. Therefore, you need money. An excellent place to get money is the crypts. By the way, you can transfer an army from one hero to another to "capture" a whole bunch of objects in one day. In my opinion, a horde of gnolls should simply "fall" to Shakti. A group of orcs - is that 5-9? Well, that's not a real opponent... Playing with infantry is quite simple; use weight attacks, maximizing the use of the battlefield's terrain. Like "divide and conquer." If you're really scared, separate the single units. And in general, practice with a "strike stack," that is, the main force in one unit.
Started playing. The starting location is terrible (no Necropolis, no Hive, just a single Dwarven Mine and a Naga Temple far away on the surface, and the second closest town, the Tower, is even further). Basically, even if I consider my initial setup as scouting, it will take at least 4-5 weeks to reach the second town, considering the numerous ranged units blocking the path:mad:.
I chose a tactic similar to "2 strike forces" with ranged units - Medusas and... Harpies:D (with upgraded tactics - why wouldn't they be ranged units:p?). True, I haven't recruited Dragons by week 5 yet:(, which is a shame, although there wasn't really a reason to do so... And Manticores are still weaker than Trolls:rolleyes:. Maybe I should switch to Nagas and Titans (from the second town)?.. I didn't find anything better than the Chapel (there were only Trolls and Harpies - what a joy:smile15:)...:D
P.S. I finally got to the "canned goods" and then to the Castle with the improved Portal of Glory. And everything would be fine, but - oh, the horror:smile21: - it turns out that my Archangels refuse to raise dead Harpies and Trolls:confused: :( - is this a bug or some unknown game quirk?

P.S. I still won against Shakti, of course; the expert City Portal helped a lot (although it's become less interesting to play with it:() ).
Added after 19 hours 14 minutes But still, share the secrets of how to easily start on 2SM4D(3) and 8MM6 for Dungeon without Shakti (for complete happiness - for Dungeon on the surface:), if this isn't a military secret...

[/U]Still, please share some secrets on how to easily start on 2SM4D(3) and 8MM6 as Dungeon without Shakti (for complete happiness - as Dungeon on the surface:)), if this isn't a military secret...
Please specify the difficulty level, and I will share it.

Difficulty: Do you mean the difficulty level, or what specifically is difficult for me? If it's the former, then the difficulty is the Queen. And there are many things that are difficult for me... First of all, I would like to know how to break through the "tough" guards of passages and treasuries in the early stages of the game without relying on archers (I'm more used to playing with archers) and without suffering serious losses. When should I upgrade harpies: as early as possible, or can I even wait until after the first week (but then who should I use to fight in the first week:confused:)? What shouldn't I build in the Dungeon at all (to save resources)? If there aren't at least 2-3 external "native" outposts, is it worth developing in my native castle, or is it better to do it in the first castle I capture? How many heroes should I buy in the first week (is the principle "the more, the better" always justified)? And these are probably not all the questions that have accumulated. If it's not too much trouble, help a newbie.
