Let's discuss what people think of this band. Personally, I really like them; they're one of my favorites.

So-so, it's for those who like classic music; in my opinion, Ozzy, Lordi, and Alice Cooper are better.

Overall, it's not bad. However, I have a negative opinion of them because they consider themselves superior to groups that are actually better than them and speak rather disparagingly about them. Never mind about "The Broom," but I can't forgive them for what they say about "Maiden."

I only like albums from the 80s (and even then, just some individual tracks) – after that, it's just not the same... They are definitely at their best in metal when it comes to anthems: songs like Battle Hymns and Hail to England are simply masterpieces :smile02:.
And I definitely love them more than, say, Iron Maiden, whom I somehow don't understand :confused:.

Well, if I compare them to Mayday, I actually like them more. By the way, I don't even want to listen to IM's latest albums (after Brave New World). As for the statements, I don't care, the main thing is that the music is excellent. And in my opinion, the album Gods of War is the best.

Gods of War? I should check if I have it – maybe it will change my opinion about their later work:smile26: ... But overall, the band is an acquired taste: especially the vocalist's singing style is quite unique – you won't confuse him with anyone else, but it's hard to call it proper singing; he speaks more than he sings (even for metal that isn't very melodic, it's a bit much, in my opinion...).

Good band.

Generally, I've been familiar with the band for about a year now, because for six months I was obsessed with the song by Aria, "The Hour Has Struck," and for another six months after that, I was still obsessed with that song, knowing that it was a cover of a song by some American metal band with an overinflated ego :D Yesterday, I finally got around to listening to the original, the Manowar song "Return of the Warlord." I was very impressed, downloaded the rest of the album, and continued to be impressed throughout the evening :D But their lyrics... The guys are really fixated on true metal, and they consider only their metal to be true metal. And they sing a lot about metal, calling themselves the kings of metal and singing other nonsense about metal, like the idea that metal was created by the gods. The word "metal" is already ringing in my ears. It's just metal, metal, metal, and nothing but metal... Do you like it when every phrase contains the word "metal"? I don't really... And they are not the kings of metal. 2 Am For example, "Dance of Death" is one of my favorite albums, so it's subjective.

Pretty good, there were a couple of albums from their early years on cassette tapes in the early 90s. But I wouldn't call it fantastic.
