Hey, can anyone help me? I'm playing version 1.0 and I'm having trouble with it. I can't beat the Necromancer invasion, it seems to be campaign 3, mission 3. I've done everything, conquered all the cities, and cursed them all (except the top right one). They won't let me into the portal, it says I need to have 20 Bone Dragons. I've bought 20 dragons and recruited them from the map, but they still won't let me into the portal:mad: And the checkbox indicating that I've hired these dragons isn't checked:mad: I've tried completing the mission in various ways, recruiting dragons before and after cursing the cities, and before conquering the top right city, but it's all a mess :( I have these questions: could this just be a bug in version 1.0, because a couple of times, right after cursing the cities, a message popped up saying that the mission was lost. I go back to the saved game (I saved right before leaving the city) and everything is fine, the cities are cursed. Which patch fixes this bug? Do I have to patch in order: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, or can I install the necessary patch directly? Where can I get reliable patches, especially for the early versions, so that I don't have any bugs later? I suspect that my version of Heroes is pirated, and that might be the cause of the bug. I want to get a licensed version. Will it work if I install the licensed version and insert my save files? Heroes of Might & Magic 5: Gold Edition
As I understand it, this is a whole trilogy, but for now, I only want to play Heroes of Might & Magic V.
So, if you install the expansions: Tribes of the East and Hammers of Fate,
do additional missions appear? And other cool stuff. Should I install the expansions right away? Will it affect Heroes of Might & Magic V in any way? Will it add new towns or heroes?

You can see the version in the lower left corner when you launch the game. If it's 1.6, you'll likely need a patch to complete the 2nd mission of the 5th campaign. There may be glitches in other missions as well. Version 1.5 runs campaigns without glitches.

This is a bug fix for version 3.0, but it will also work for version 1.6.
You need to extract the file 30missionscript.h5u from the archive.
For version 3.0, simply copy it to the UserMods folder in the installation directory of Tribes of the East.
For version 1.6, rename the extension from h5u to h5m, so it becomes 30missionscript.h5m, and copy it to the Maps folder in the installation directory of the original Heroes version 1.6.
