I have the same problem.
After installing the Russian language pack, when I try to access the forge, the text everywhere is displayed as "String not found".

The process is much simpler – you need to follow the installation order:
1) Install The Shadow of Death (recommended), Platinum Edition, or a previous version of WoG.
2) When installing The Shadow of Death, the directory should be selected automatically (at least that's how it works for me). Therefore, move all the contents of the Heroes folder to a folder whose path consists ENTIRELY of Latin letters, for example, C:\Games\Heroes III WoG.[br][/br]3) Extract all files from the allion1 archive into the allion1 folder; this will create a file named wog358f.part01 with the WoG icon, along with RAR files.
4) Run wog358f.part01, then confirm the extraction path (by default, this is the WogInstall folder, which will be created in the allion1 folder).[br][/br]5) After unpacking, a WogInstall folder will appear; move it to the C:\Games\Heroes III WoG folder.[br][/br]6) From the WogInstall folder, run the install file. After some time, a language selection menu will appear, followed by a window with the inscription "welcome" – click the next button.
A window titled "list of found components" will appear, along with three buttons: change patch, install, and cancel.[br][/br]7) Click "change patch"; in the window that opens, specify the path to the Heroes folder (C:\Games\Heroes III WoG\) and click OK.
8) After clicking OK, the "list of found components" window reappears – press install.
After completing the WoG installation process, you will need to install the Russian localization package. To do this:
1) Extract the 3 files with the .wog extension from the rubeta358f archive.
2) Move these files to the C:\Games\Heroes III WoG\update\ directory.
3) Run the H3Wupd.exe file in the C:\Games\Heroes III WoG folder.[br][/br]Then follow the same steps as when installing WoG.

So I bought The Shadow of Death and installed WoG.
The same thing happened again where all files are corrupted. A window with a slider appears, and after two minutes, a message says that the update was successful.
Then I go back into The Shadow of Death and when making a selection, the wog options! button appears, but it can't be clicked..

I want to add that I did the same thing, but one glitch appeared: everything is in Russian, but the WoG settings are in English. Why is that?
