Wendy, just a quick thought: are you playing version 1.6 or 3.0? Take a look: http://forums.ag.ru/?board=heroes5&action=display&s=0&num=1192719850&start=75
I haven't noticed any glitches in it, except that the computer takes
an unreasonably long time to make its moves (as if it's solving a chess problem).
I'm currently in the middle of the last campaign.
Although I don't like playing as "mages," I have to go through it, at least for the sake of completion:D
As for patches, I haven't even installed 1.5 because it
limits the ability to "train" units.
What can you do? I like to explore the entire map, max out my hero, and go into the final battle with confidence:smile14:
תודה שלא עשני אשה
1.6, which means this can already be considered a diagnosis :( It's a shame to leave it unfinished.
valleriv, I also didn't experience any glitches while playing the Tribes of the East campaigns in version 3.0, because there are no enemies scripted to capture a specific town. The glitches appear when playing the original campaigns.
And in general, as I see it: almost every mod had its own bugs.
Also, the fact that in one of the missions, demons appeared from a portal, but didn't attack the castles, didn't really make the mission easier. They are still easily defeated. I will be playing this mission in version 3.0 soon. I'm currently playing the previous one.
As for what kind of demons were there, I don't remember anymore – I only remember that I had to fight my way through the entire map to get to them.
The h5m extension means it should be placed in the Maps folder. If there is no such folder, you need to create it manually.
Still haven't decided which magic to level up in 3.0? In this version, a good spell called Divine Retribution has appeared in light magic. I just don't know when I'll get to that campaign. I'm having terrible problems in the 3rd mission of the 4th campaign. Maybe I'll even have to lower the difficulty level in this mission to veteran, or even lower (oh, the horror!!!). In version 1.5, this mission is much easier.
I loaded the save. This time, Ilfina sat quietly in the Castle like a mouse. And on the second week, the purple hero, level 19, attacked the Castle. Ilfina easily defeated him because Faydaen had left her almost the entire army. He only took the dragons and 6 dancers with him. When Ilfina got tired of waiting for the second enemy, she made a sortie. The peasants and the chest were gone, but the 2 campfires remained. As soon as Ilfina returned to the Castle, the 2nd enemy (Kaspar, level 19) attacked her. She leveled up to level 8. I don't know yet how the other purple heroes will behave, but the mission is doable.
The latest version of the bug fix tool fixes a minor bug in version 3.0 in one of the campaign missions of Lords of the North.

Wendy, maybe you kept the hero in the gate? My Ilfina is in the garrison. She only runs out to the source after each battle to raise morale. Deidra and Kaspar attack the Castle in turn. At the beginning of the mission, they were level 19. Now they are level 23.
The enemy from the Castle immediately runs out to capture the mines and collect goodies. If you don't waste time collecting floating debris, Faydaen can capture the Castle before he returns and buy the troop increase on the 2nd week. The Castle is well-built with the hero. Therefore, there is something to buy. And the auxiliary hero can collect the debris.
For completing the "Prepare the garrison for defense" task, alternative dragons, unicorns, and druids are not suitable. I spent about 20-30 minutes trying to complete this mission because instead of Supreme Druids, I had Elder Druids. When I figured out to upgrade them to Supreme Druids, the mission was completed immediately.
Dragons might work even if they are alternative, because the task says that green ones are needed. I had Emerald Dragons. But whoever says that they are not green, can throw an emerald at me.

Good day to everyone! And a huge thank you for posting this topic; thanks to it, I completed this seemingly endless mission! I'll tell you how I marked the checkbox to free the two heroes, even though everything is already here... So, I won't tell you how to complete the mission itself, but I will tell you how to mark the checkbox. So, after you mark the checkbox that the garrison is ready for defense (I described how to do this in the previous message), I personally removed all the unnecessary mercenaries. Maybe this isn't necessary, but then I created another mercenary in the capital. Please note that the checkbox for preparing the garrison must be marked, and voila... The poems about the two heroes appear, and then immediately the poems about the journey to Tiera. Good luck to everyone! P.S. I'm telling you all this for version 1.0, the non-licensed version!
