Maybe it won't be necessary. Since gargoyles are immune to elements, and zombies are not, a hero with gargoyles can fly away with them and simultaneously attack the zombies with spells:D

I'm talking about their attack power, not about the various tricks that can be used. And imagine what to do if the hero doesn't have magic; the gargoyles will still lose. You can't fly away forever:D

For me, the least favorite faction is the Mages. They are too weak against Humans and Orcs....

I won't even argue here; I agree that you are absolutely right:smile36:. And that on a regular map, the Academy isn't dominant (except on large maps).

Mages are strong not so much because of their magic, but because of their mini-arts! On large maps, they can give a good fight to many! In a quick game, I haven't really seen Mages, but still, people play as them!

Heroes 5 is a very cool game, and each race in it is original and unique, so I can't say that I hate any of them. I know how to play with all the races and voted accordingly that I love them all! There is no bad race – there are only bad players.

There are already 22 pages of off-topic discussions in this thread, and we are still far from reaching a consensus. A friend of mine, a big expert on Heroes 3, also complains that he can't find a super-race in Heroes 5 that can dominate everyone. I don't know how it is in Heroes 3. And that's a good thing – it means the game has a decent balance.

However, the demons are a bit behind. They have a difficult start and not very good stats for improving their characteristics (IMHO). If they had a 10-15% chance of increasing their knowledge, I think they would have more supporters. I won't say where the 15-20% should be directed, as that's not a topic for this thread.

IMHO, arguing about which unit from different races is stronger is pointless in any thread. The strength of a race is not determined by a single unit. And it's hard to say who would win in a battle between gargoyles and zombies if the gargoyles had a triple artifact. I think the one who gets a phoenix to help them first will win.

The point of this topic isn't to choose the worst race, but simply to say which race you don't like and why. Calling a race the "worst" is already off-topic. Unless, of course, some people justify their choice by saying that their least favorite race is the worst... But nevertheless, I can't help but agree with the previous speakers. ;)

In my opinion, Mages are a perfectly viable race. They are no worse than others, with their own strengths and weaknesses. They are strong on resource-rich maps, especially at lower difficulty levels. My friends disagree with playing Hotseat on difficulty levels above Warrior. And after completing campaigns on Hero difficulty, it feels very unusual for me to have a lot of money and resources at the start. I really like the Academy.

I don't have any favorite or disliked races. I play with friends using the race I'm playing through in the campaign.

I've already written that it's pointless to argue about the strengths and weaknesses of races. Much depends on the map. Even more depends on the player. On one map, one race will have an advantage, on another, a different race. There is no universal race that will dominate everyone on any map.

In Heroes of Might and Magic 5, it’s a pity for the mages. :( It’s also a pity for the weakened titan with fewer hit points, and for the ruined gargoyle, which is also slow and flies awkwardly. The mage takes a very long time to cast spells. The Academy in Heroes 5 turned out to be very undynamic. The overall initiative of all creatures is the lowest of all factions. And the racial abilities of the heroes are not very useful either. In general, the Academy in Heroes 5 is absolutely no comparison to the Academy in Heroes 3, even though the creatures are all the same.
