Posts from Nival’s answers about the future of Heroes 5.
By the way, I had a great time playing with someone from a different segment on a local network yesterday. Everything works. You probably have network lag.
Also, I don't quite understand why "Ultimate" is even needed if it's practically impossible to get, and if you do get it, it's only at the very end of the game.
This is an additional incentive for development!
Yeah, but if you aim for it, you can acquire a bunch of not-so-useful skills.

2. There is a lack of a battle view when you are attacked from all sides when defending such buildings. Although I understand that the square shape of the cell won't allow it, and the battlefield isn't large enough to build them on all sides. Also, large (4-cell) units eliminate this possibility; they simply won't all fit there, which is a pity.
>Message from Gryph0n:
Will it be possible to enter/exit the current building using the spacebar? Will the hotkeys be customizable?
The answer was:
Why specifically the spacebar? Currently, for example, "Esc" is a universal hotkey for exiting most interfaces.
As for customization, hotkeys are already customizable :-) In the game folder, in the Profile folder, there is a file called input.cfg in your profile, which is easy to edit.
I think the developer misunderstood. Exiting with Esc is one thing, but entering a city or building with the spacebar is actually very convenient and familiar.
1. I think the game lacks five (seven) well-known buildings from Heroes 3 that provide both money and resources (similar to Nagabanks, Medusa Lairs, Demon Caves, and Dwarf Mines).
Жизнь нужно прожить так, чтобы Боги в восторге предложили еще одну...
P.S. может мне и предложили, просто я не помню :smile44:

Sieging a Castle has become some kind of unpleasant procedure. You are shot at by towers – the damage is minimal, but it’s still not pleasant. The entire army, except for the archers, just stands around doing nothing. Compared to the game Rome - Total War, I feel like I'm crawling around... In Rome, a siege is a siege; not many people are idle. There are ballistae, siege towers, tunnels, etc., and everyone does their job, digging, burrowing, breaking through. But in Heroes, archers attack with all their might; it's unclear why you would even recruit knights. (If they could climb ladders onto the walls, that would be a different story, or if level 1 units dug tunnels). Since the game is so complex, they could have thought about the process of capturing a Castle.
My personal thoughts:
A Castle with High Elves, Inferno. Visually, there is a chasm around the Castle; if you fall, you're done. During an assault, something is only placed near the gate (like lava), but if you lose a life, you can pass through without difficulty (if you destroy the wall). At least they could have made it more realistic. It's understandable that a griffin doesn't care what it flies over, but a peasant...
And in the Academy, you generally have to fly.
There are many inconsistencies. The developers need to come up with something more realistic.
The conversation about the initiative is a special one.
It was said in an interview that now the morale works like this:
+3-3 (like in Heroes of Might and Magic III).
When a unit's morale triggers, it doesn't get a second turn, but its initiative simply increases.
Either the developers at Nival have tactical geniuses working for them, or they have no tacticians at all. What tactical advantage is there in morale now? You "cheat with morale," and then what? You stand there and wait to be blinded. What's the benefit? Why is this useless parameter needed now?
Before, everything was clear. You "cheated with morale," and you got an immediate turn, and the attack also increased. But now?
In my opinion, tactics have been completely killed. And since I've always been interested in tactics in Heroes (I'm not a very good strategist), I don't even know if I need this game anymore:(
That's right... I used to like leveling up a warrior like this: Expert Leadership - Expert Luck
That way, one warrior could deal two blows with increased damage!! (but not always!!)
