I found this screenshot somewhere, I don't know if it's photoshopped or REAL, I want to believe it's real, maybe someone knows what it is???:confused:

I don't think the first one is an in-game feature. It doesn't fit the game's style. As for the second one, I don't know, maybe it's some kind of mod. In my opinion, they ruined the castles.

The first picture is called MegaBattle. It's already 100 years old. It was made before WoG even existed!!! But the picture is cool!!!

Yes, it's a shame, I was hoping it would be some obscure version of Heroes.
And regarding the cities, I think they are shown with better detail.

the second two images are from earlier versions of Heroes 3 (before the release of The Restoration of Erathia).
all the images, including the first one, have been on the DF2 forum in the "screenshots from Heroes" thread for months/years. by the way, there's a lot of other interesting stuff there too..

for example, here. an earlier version of Heroes, where a monster was planned - something like a green skull.

Personally, it seems to me that this cannot be an early version (although...).
I think so because both sides have catapults, and the right side lacks a hero.
And, by the way, the monsters look cooler here, more menacing (for example, the "Evil Eye"). I would replace them with these.

1. Can the towns be redesigned to look like the ones in the screenshots?
2. Is it possible that someone will create a version of the game that looks like the one in the first screenshot?

Castles are awful! And even in the third game, many things look like toys, but here they've completely ruined it. I hope I won't see this in the game...

The first picture isn't very professional (((... the idea is great, but many details are missing... =);).. maybe I'll experiment in my free time and create something similar =D
The other two... you can also experiment with them =) by collaging and changing some details without changing the overall shapes, etc. =))(but the objects will be in the same places) ;) but it's done well ;)) =D

I know for sure that this is an early version. All the images in this thread are from the test and unreleased 3DO early versions of Heroes 3. These are not creations of third-party developers or mods – all of this was done by the same artists who worked on the regular Heroes game.

The castles are terrible! And so much in Heroes 3 already looks like toys, and here they completely ruined it. I hope I won't see this in the game...

That's why the developers released what we have now, and not what's in these pictures.

No. Only if the WoG team is given access to the Heroes source code. I am part of the team, and as far as I know, this is not planned for the near future.

Here are the individual units that were shown in the screenshot from Docent Picolan; I think they look better (their characteristics are more distinct). Also, it can be assumed that the green skull represents the Gorgons or Snakes of that time (although they don't really fit into the Swamp faction).

No, it's a Lich. At least, I heard it from the developers once. Although, it's quite possible that it's just an additional unit. Or maybe something like a third-tier unit for Necropolis instead of Spirits.

I just made an assumption because in the screenshot of the Fortress faction (Swamps), there are no Gorgons or Serpents, and the creatures of other factions don't fit because the Fortress only has its own creatures.

Also, it's unclear why the quantity of none of the monsters is shown.

well, maybe some of them are better) but not all...
for example, gnolls... what's up with their legs? they look better in the original)
beasts and harpies... I don't know) it's like they got beaten up))
medusas are okay) their body got an upgrade, but not the head xD

P.S. do manticores in the original also put their front paws together?... it looks bad) although maybe it's more comfortable for them like that)
