Posts from Help! The game doesn't recognize *.sav files.

Heroes 5 silver edition version 1.5 (1C license)
The game itself works normally, it saves game progress, but it doesn't recognize the saves (i.e., the "load saved game" window is empty).
P.S.
1) The computer is working, and the "My Documents" folder is located on the server: \Sys-DC\пппппп\ппппппп\My Documents
2) The game creates a profile folder like this: C:\Games\Heroes5\Bin\Sys-DC\пппппп\пппппппп\My Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V\Profiles\Name
3) The game works without problems with the Campaign.sav file, which is located there; i.e., campaign progress is saved!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I don't like the "My Documents" folder. In Civilization, there shouldn't be folders with non-English characters in the path to the save files. Maybe it should be the same in Heroes? The save files are stored in the same "My Games" folder as in Heroes.

Thank you for the suggestions. The solution is likely somewhere nearby, but I don't know how to fix it. Is it possible to manually specify the path to the user profile? I couldn't find anything similar (neither in the registry nor in the game folder).

You can move the "My Documents" folder to another location. Perhaps the game doesn't like it being located on the server (right-click on it and go to its properties).

I only have one word (Boris). No problems with saves.

I didn't hesitate and went through this tedious registration process just to say thank you to Billi_Bons;136048. I respect all forum participants, but I run Heroes of Might and Magic V through BootCamp and encounter the same problem. The only thing that helped was writing the nickname in two words separated by a space!
