Golden Persimmon ~THE ENDO~ Auto-translated

Heroes of Might and Magic IV - Sea Theme - 5. I really like this composition, but I think I already used it in one of the previous contests.

Maybe it was submitted, maybe even I submitted it. I don't remember.

I don't feel like listening to instrumental music. I might not vote.

Template successfully copied. Raikou (Lightning) - USHI GOZEN BATTLE - 9, wow, even good enough for a playlist. A decent composition. Energetic with Eastern notes. Baldur's Gate 3 - Ketheric Thorm Battle Theme - Mix - 7, a whole ten minutes... I've always found the soundtrack in Baldur's Gate to be unremarkable. I don't know why so many people like it. But this mix has some really good moments + Ketheric is great in himself. Heroes Of Might And Magic IV - Sea Theme - 6, starts strong... I'll have to deduct a couple of points for being too cliché. No, the theme is legendary, but they could have chosen something else from the fourth game for variety. Promise (Reprise) - 3, *yawns* good as a lullaby. Hermodr A Helferd - 1, and I can't think of any use for this theme... it's very depressing. Chaos Contained - 4, also a lullaby, but trying to be something more. DANCE MONKEY (Piano Cover) - Peter Bence - 4, okay, a couple of points for the guy's effort. Aventyr - At the Bottom of Time - 6, epic lullaby. Glenn Proudfoot - Perfect - 5, guitar > piano, although it depends... Viima - 4, atmospheric lullaby. Revolve - 5, a lullaby that, once accepted, turns you into a time traveler in the Revan expansion.

Raikou (Lightning) - USHI GOZEN BATTLE - 5. Quite intense. It's like they mixed a classic Hollywood trailer, battle music from the Heroes games, and added traditional instruments on top to really mess with your sanity. Baldur's Gate 3 - Ketheric Thorm Battle Theme - Mix - 3. Generic... I miss the times when TwoStepsfromHell released instrumental tracks every year. Their style was similar, but unlike this, they were great. And the vocals are a bit of a cheat; I didn't finish listening. Heroes Of Might and Magic IV - Sea Theme - 5. One of the best melodies (the volcano theme is even better) from the best installment, but yes, it was quite recently. Promise (Reprise) - 8. Yamaoka is a genius. Hermodr A Helferd - 5. The strings are good, but the squeaky sound got annoying. Chaos Contained - 7. For moments like these, I wade through a sea of mediocrity. The first nine, yay! - I thought, and then the second minute started. Still, it's not bad. DANCE MONKEY (Piano Cover) - Peter Bence - 4. This is a very good cover, but I don't really like this melody. I would give the original a 2 or 3. Aventyr - At the Bottom of Time - consider this the soundtrack for an expansion. Glenn Proudfoot - Perfect - 7. Not perfect, but quite good. It could use more bass, though. Some moments are really an 8 or 9, but only a few, unfortunately. I'll think about it; maybe I'll give it an 8 for skill. Viima - 9. Finally, there's a 9. Even if it's a bit of a stretch. Revolve - 6. Just a decent average track. A bit overrated for me personally

10. When you know the host likes the piano.

😶

where's the music from Disco Elysium?

Raikou (Lightning) -USHI GOZEN BATTLE- 4. is this from Wukong? the intro is too harsh and loud, hitting you in the head (in a bad way). at times there's just too much going on, in my opinion. overall, there's an overabundance of "tense" music. there are brief lulls, but that rattle grates on me for almost the entire track, and so the score is below average (average is 5, not 7 like today's game journalists)
Baldur's Gate 3 - Ketheric Thorm Battle Theme - Mix - 5. why the hell send 10 minutes? instead of sending the menu music from the second part and getting 10 points. and yes, I didn't send one of my picks because it had wailing/mumbling for 20 seconds. expect a 7-minute track next time
Heroes Of Might And Magic IV - Sea Theme - 5. why send obscure melodies from the bad parts when for nine years you could've been sending music from the HoMM 3 towns? and then HoMM 4 too.
Promise (Reprise) - 3. was hoping for the melody to develop, but that didn't happen and it stayed stagnant, just like the game series
Hermodr A Helferd - 3. I guess I sometimes worry for nothing that some of my picks have too drawn-out intros (40-50 seconds), since somewhere out there it lasts the whole track. -1 sanity
Chaos Contained - 7. finally some actual development, and you can really listen to it intentionally rather than just as background noise
DANCE MONKEY (Piano Cover) - Peter Bence - 5. for the original I'd give more x) in general, I don't really like it when people change the arrangement or tempo etc. of a melody when making a cover or just performing it on some instrument. that is, if you make a rock version, then don't change anything, just make a rock version without any of your own additions. and in other cases too. if you play on violin or keyboards, then just play it as intended. some also make some kind of jazz version, and in the end only 1 in 100 attempts turns out well, in the rest of the cases it's hard to listen to and it feels like they just st****d a couple of samples and made their own track.
Aventyr - At the Bottom of Time - 6. remembered that I have a guy who plays the harp
Glenn Proudfoot - Perfect - you asked for some guitar yourself... there was also this option, but given last year + the fact that it's partly my childhood nostalgia, I didn't choose it. but for me it's one of the top game melodies (the original is 8-bit, by the way). on VK there's an even lighter and more musical cover, but it's not on YouTube, so I only considered this one, besides the original (maybe there are better ones too).

Viima - 6. 🌖
Revolve - 7. pleasant. would've been better without the flute

bad parts

it would have been better without the flute

There are so many things in these reviews that I disagree with.

I thought it was from the sixth installment, but the essence remains largely the same, as I believe the fourth game has some even better tracks. I don't even remember this one.

This is the best track out of the four, perfectly fitting the contest criteria. The magnificent and divine Chaos theme features vocals... and thanks to them, it became the best track in the game.

Raikou (Lightning) -USHI GOZEN BATTLE-
I listened to it twice – it didn't quite resonate with me. The visuals are good.
I listened to it a third time after the entire playlist. It's the only one that's a bit more upbeat. I'll give it extra points just because of the overall mood.
7/10

Baldur's Gate 3 - Ketheric Thorm Battle Theme - Mix
It's a bit boring.
I think it's good that there's finally an opportunity to submit something that's about ten minutes long for a contest, but without the game, it's not self-sufficient.
3/10

Heroes Of Might And Magic IV - Sea Theme
Masterpiece.
How can I give it anything less?! 10/10, even considering that it's a bit of a cheat.

Promise (Reprise)
I would have liked some scary bells, like Taylor Swift.
But as it is, it's just a lullaby. 3/10

Hermodr A Helferd
A grasshopper sat in the grass – a Viking version.

The Burzum album "Daudi Baldrs" is mainly in the dark ambient genre. Since Varg Vikernes recorded it in prison using only a synthesizer, it is a minimalist ambient that combines elements of classical music and neofolk.

1/10

Chaos Contained
Well, it's not bad.
I got into the beginning, the second part is just "okay."
7/10

DANCE MONKEY (Piano Cover) - Peter Bence

Aventyr - At the Bottom of Time
It's a bit boring, a bit depressing.
It sounds like a soundtrack to an old game. And not a very good one. 3/10
For some reason, I remembered "Prince," googled the soundtrack, and felt nostalgic.
Maybe there are tracks of the same level there, but they feel more familiar.

Glenn Proudfoot - Perfect
It's a little more upbeat, but something is missing. 4/10

Viima
Good for falling asleep, but very beautiful. 6/10

Revolve
It stands out from the rest, it's unusual. I'll give it a slightly higher rating, 7/10.

Currently, only 7 out of 12 are scheduled for the next one.

I probably won't be able to send the human female unit today. But I'll try tomorrow if I have time.

Masquerade. Describe a player character (not necessarily your own), an NPC, and one of the expeditions in words.

From just one game?

No

Raikou (Lightning) - USHI GOZEN BATTLE - 6, suitable for fighting foreign invaders. aldur's Gate 3 - Ketheric Thorm Battle Theme - Mix - 3, the beginning is good, but it quickly gets boring. And the battle is probably in a dream or underwater, it sounds very lazy. Heroes Of Might And Magic IV - Sea Theme - 5, when people say that the fourth game has good music, they always give this track as an example. Are the others really that unremarkable? Promise (Reprise) - 5, it sounds familiar. Hermodr A Helferd - 3, for when you're just sitting around. DANCE MONKEY (Piano Cover) - Peter Bence - 3, what a cringe-worthy guy. The track also sounds like it was made under the influence. Aventyr - At the Bottom of Time - 6, it's okay. Glenn Proudfoot - Perfect - 6, it's okay. Viima - 4, it's nothing special. Revolve - 6, it'll work.
