We're excited to share some news regarding Heroes of Might and Magic V!

What's New:

• We are in the process of localizing Heroes of Might and Magic V into several new languages:

  • Polish (POL)

  • Russian (RU)

  • Czech (CZE)

  • Hungarian (HUN)

  • Simplified Chinese (SCH)

Important Note for Players:

Please be aware that while we are preparing for this update, you might notice these new language options appearing in the game's selection screen if you install the game now.

However, these languages are not yet fully integrated and will not function correctly until a future build update. We are still in the process of testing and integrating all the necessary files.

We kindly ask for your patience as we finalize this expansion. We'll announce another update once the full localization build is live and ready for you to enjoy in your preferred language!

The Heroes of Might and Magic V Team

Recently, Ubisoft released a patch for the Steam version of Heroes 5, adding Russian, Hungarian, Polish, and Chinese localization, as well as updating the license agreement. But the most interesting thing is that the Russian localization includes 2 new scenarios, "For the Artifact!" and "Deadly Grudges," which were not in version 3.1. I tried to find information online about where they first appeared, but without success. Maybe someone knows; it would be interesting to find out.

I've been playing these maps for a long time; they were included in the GOG version.

It's a common practice for developers to add or change something without mentioning it in the changelog.)

By the way, if you're interested, the file is located in the data folder and is called GEmaps.pak.
