in Heroes, graphics aren't the most important thing! Personally, I enjoy playing the first game more than the fourth because I think the third game ruined the series with its fourth installment. The only thing that attracts me to them is the ability to upgrade the hero as a creature (I hope I'm making sense). But overall, I think the third game is the best part of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, as mentioned above, because of its gameplay, plot, and the fact that it's simply interesting to play and doesn't get boring.

The graphics in the third game are decent. I personally really like the elemental castle – the bright, cheerful colors and beautiful buildings are pleasing to the eye. For 2D graphics, it's very good, although I personally sometimes wish the colors were a bit more vibrant... (like a little girl). But overall, I agree with Paladin – graphics aren't the most important thing; what matters most is that the game is interesting, and the third Heroes game is exactly that ;)
