Did the graphics of Heroes 3 not deter you from wanting to play?

in Heroes, graphics aren't the most important thing! Personally, I enjoy playing the first game more than the fourth because I think the third game ruined the series with its fourth installment. The only thing that attracts me to them is the ability to upgrade the hero as a creature (I hope I'm making sense). But overall, I think the third game is the best part of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, as mentioned above, because of its gameplay, plot, and the fact that it's simply interesting to play and doesn't get boring.
P.S.: It's impossible to tear yourself away from Warlock.
