New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
You don't need it, most people do.
No, I'm still going to post this pic. It works great for girls on dating sites too. And for guys, for that matter...
For those who want purely one-night or two-night stands, yeah. They really need it.
But otherwise, I know an example of a guy who, at around ~45-50, hooked up with my acquaintance who's 45+ (well, she's older now, this was about 5 years ago). She has a gorgeous figure (yeah yeah, tits, ass, waist, everything in place), and she's very good-looking in the face (she takes great care of her beauty, sinks a lot of money into maintaining her good looks). On top of that, she has a great sense of style and a genuinely excellent wardrobe. Plus she's pleasant to talk to and not a bitch.
The guy turned out to be married to a 50+ hag (she's definitely at least 5 years older than him, maybe more), with not the most pleasant looks, who doesn't give a damn about taking care of herself. And like, they have no kids together, no jointly acquired property. Reasons to stay with her are literally 0. Quite the opposite — he constantly complained to my acquaintance about what a disgusting woman she is and why the hell he even married her back then. But when the hottie got tired of being a mistress and asked him directly whether he'd leave his wife and be with her — the guy bailed. Or rather, he first tried to keep sitting on two chairs, but when he realized there was only one choice, he preferred the crappy wife. Even though you'd think it'd be obvious.

Well, shit, here we go again.

That's not the point. 10 years ago, I could easily get a job with my current portfolio without a billion unpaid test assignments. I have relatives who got into IT in the 00s and 10s, at the best time. Now they are mid-level/senior developers in foreign companies. I know how they lived/worked. They are not fools and not lazy, but they are also not the kind of people who worked around the clock and without days off. They didn't break their backs to get this. They just worked and grew in the process. Now I can't do that. I need to break my back not to get into a foreign company, but just to get a job in a CIS company for a bowl of rice. That's the point. Therefore, personally, I will simply no longer work in this field unless absolutely necessary.
To be fair, I once met a guy who looked like an elf. He wasn't a very interesting conversationalist, to put it mildly.

By the way, since the ouroboros has appeared. My comment about IT perfectly describes the essence of the current situation. It is radically different from what it was 10 years ago, Neyra. And for other people of our age at that time. Although even then, modern trends were already visible.
To get what people 10-15 years ago got simply by being ordinary, now you need to work your ass off.
10 years ago, it was actually easier to break into the IT market, but the starting salary was also lower. In many cases, junior developers were offered minimum wage or slightly above, they would start, gradually grow, and as their skills increased, so did their salary (most often through job hopping, less often through promotions).
Now, junior developers want 80k+ right from the start, because they listen to promises from online courses and various bloggers.
Nebok, you go to a brothel, try to find a virgin there, and predictably you don't find one, and based on this, you conclude that all girls are prostitutes. That's how it looks, to be honest.
