Posts from Searching for mods (looking for mods for Tribes of the East).
Thank you, but this is not what I need.
I am familiar with this mod; it was featured in a Heroes for Fun review. The vampires in the mod are quite ordinary, only the icon has been changed.
In the thread that I linked, there was information about downloading the mod. I thought that the link had been removed over time, so I assumed that perhaps someone still had the source files. Apparently, that's not meant to be.
Here is a link to the thread (/topic/14933/), where they discussed models for Heroes 7. Inside the thread, there is a link to a VK group owned by the author of most of the ported models from Heroes 7. If you ask him, he might even create a spectral dragon because he definitely ported the reaper rider (I saw screenshots in the thread).
P.S. With all due respect, in my opinion, the Necropolis design in part 6 is the worst. There are many unsuccessful decisions; the spider theme ruined everything. Only skeletons and ghouls look acceptable. Even in part 7, it’s better; at least dragons and riders (in some form) were brought back.
The spider theme of the Necropolis in Ashan is canon, just so you know.

And yes, for those who are playing the campaign in the sixth game, there are also dead dragons. In the very last campaign. You can also summon them with the Dragonbone Staff. I have one as my avatar. Yes, you can't recruit them in the city and all that, but they exist and belong to the Necropolis faction.

Narron, I know about the group on VK, but I can't join it because I'm from Ukraine. I know that there is a rider model. But I don't have the ability to download it. And vampires, liches, and especially phantom drakes in the sixth game are cool.

I'm also continuing my search for mods and creations that include Golems/Mechs and everything that can be associated with them (even if it requires slight recoloring).

*All of this is needed for my own modification, as I cannot create the new unit models I need on my own, and I also don't have any acquaintances who could do it for me.
*It would also be good to indicate the original creator of the creatures/mod, because if I'm going to borrow something, I want to do it without objections from the original author of the mod/creature.
In general, I would be grateful for help with the search.

H5 Armageddon's Blade has creatures similar to that; write to Waterfall. In general, this scale of "borrowing" free content is starting to get annoying.
Then people like me should be hit on the soft spot with a slipper.

But it's hard for me to say whether I'm against borrowing or not; that is, if someone steals a faction, I'll be upset, but where did I start? - by stealing the Plague Ent entirely, haha. And I also stole the entire Elemental City... I really loved that faction, but now I'm ashamed to think about it.
Well, I would say that if a mod relies solely on borrowed models, it will quickly be forgotten, but it can be the beginning of a modder's journey.
Yeah, I remember a mod for the Damned faction, assembled from various NCF creatures... besides, it was generally unplayable due to balance issues.

To make my point of view clearer. Everything I borrow, I don't consider it the "end result," but only a "placeholder" due to the lack of available alternatives. Borrowed content usually doesn't reveal your own ideas, but only serves as an acceptable assumption on the way to its implementation.
Considering that my first steps in modding Heroes and games in general began with disassembling other mods "by trial and error" before I could consciously start doing something myself. The situation is similar here. Besides, let's be honest - when studying the list of works by the same "NCF," there are quite a few mediocre works in terms of implementation quality that strongly clash with the original game and even other, simply better-quality works by modders. Obviously, this is not exactly what I would like to see in my mod (unless it's just a "mod compilation").
*I respect other modders and their work, whether it's: experimental drafts, intermediate stages, or the final work.
*I cannot seriously consider "incorporating other people's work" as my own work, even if, after modifications, only the model and animations remain from the original work.
*I plan to independently master everything I need to implement the project in the future, and until then, I allow some borrowing as an intermediate solution and a "base" for further development.
*In my mods, there is initially a course to minimize or eliminate any borrowing of other people's work. Of course, this approach greatly limits, especially in the early stages, but I gain more experience and better understand what I am working with.
Of course, in such a situation, there is a possibility that there will be a lot of mods, and many of them may not be very high quality. But nevertheless, it is important to give everyone the opportunity to create something that they themselves will like, and whether others will want to play it is another question.
In the end, there will still be a handful of the most popular versions that people will play.
Hoarding content for oneself, so that others don't have it, for the sake of exclusivity... well, that's not a very good behavior. We're not SONY, and it seems like everyone came here for mods.
Therefore, the more, the better =)
Overall, I agree with Ismail and Waterfall.

Hello! I'm looking for all types of mods or individual developments that include Medusas, Beholders, and similar "underground" creatures. Various beetles would also be suitable, but not flying ones. The presence of upgrades is probably a must...
Now I just need to find something to put on Tier 6, and the issue with the Dungeon faction will be completely resolved!
*by the way, has anyone ported the Minotaurs from the 6th game? 🤔
