I completed two missions in a row. There are so many emotions.
The second mission was just as challenging as the first. Fortunately, the Darkness faction was more or less manageable, and it didn't cause as much stress as fighting the Dwarves. I'm very glad that the Knight received a debuff to summoning, instead of a debuff to Darkness, otherwise it would be almost impossible to defeat him with his horse training. It was very easy to defeat both with the Darkness faction, even the Orc with his Darkness debuff, and I fought them and Giovanni three times in a row in ONE turn.
Giovanni put up a good fight, especially in the 4th screenshot https://imgur.com/a/5aMl1e9, because I found a way to permanently trap him in a city about 2 months after his buff. Honestly, I don't understand why there are so many complications, because with the Mentor, you just train a simple unit that patrols the Witch's stronghold for exactly 3 weeks and gains experience, which then closes the gap again. (Also, what happens if you kill her? Or is it just a choice for the sake of choice?).
In the 5th-6th month, I simply marched triumphantly to the city of Humans, and then to the city of Orcs. AND THEN I WENT FOR THE SCROLLS. No joke - their encounter is really epic, as is the battle itself, and the description before it really motivates you to kill the bald soldier from TF. (I also killed the mustachioed guy with the "mega army" without any problems).
But, unfortunately, it's simply impossible to defeat him without accumulating a huge army. Everything was going more or less well, the Vampires were dealing damage, tearing off pieces of flesh... and then came the mass Vampire spell... and I was screwed. The Darkness faction turned out to be completely useless, as were my TWO THOUSAND Vampires, and my troops were being crushed... I didn't feel like accumulating an army for another half a year or a year, or going to the gym (I was playing for 13 hours straight, I couldn't stop and was already hooked), so I just cheated and got an army for 6 months ahead, and then I managed to defeat him somehow. With the remaining army, I executed the mustachioed guy, and that's it. I also skipped all the neutral creatures in the territory of Humans and Orcs, I hope I didn't miss any interactions along the way.
What can I say? I really liked the mission, especially the storyline return of Arantir. After all, he is the only chosen one of Ashan according to the lore, it's a very interesting idea to bring him back, and besides, Sareth probably didn't know how to deliver the final death to the Necromancers. But the fact that Giovanni returned is a bit much. After all, Arantir executed him with the final death, burning his body.
Besides the bald guy from TF, I can't remember any other cool moments. Except that I really liked the reference to Patchwork, by the way, it made me smile, and I wanted to replay DS. But it's a bit strange that he has a set of keys worth 30k available.
Also, I didn't understand what's going on in the 5th, 6th, and 7th screenshots. https://imgur.com/a/5aMl1e9 What is it and how can I get to them? And is it even possible, or are they just there as decoration? Because the idea of defeating 3 legions of Liches seems dubious.
