Could take such an ability.
. Other acid spells that mostly duplicate the jelly spells.
although maybe create an acid mine? They step on it, and it sprays acid...
And maybe give the acid spit the ability to damage weapons/armor, or create it as a separate skill, I don't know.
| Kalimor Kalimor knows little about how he was created. Some say he is one of the last creations of the Iron Lord, a cruel deity from whom people stole the secrets of metalworking. Others claim he is the mischief of demons who spewed a cursed blade from the abyss. And some believe him to be the most ordinary weapon that acquired its properties as a consequence of the reputation that formed around it. Kalimor himself can neither confirm nor refute any of these stories, although the first has always been more to his liking. After all, it was more pleasant to feel like a divine creation made with some purpose rather than an accident or someone's cruel joke. Besides, the Iron Lord was a well-established character in the folklore of his native world. Though he cannot deny that his mind and abilities developed far from immediately. What Kalimor has always clearly realized is his desire to be useful. His desire to serve some cause. It mattered not whether he was used by a proud nobleman to achieve his ambitions, or by a noble knight to save a princess from the clutches of a dragon. And nothing ever saddened him as much as a promising wielder deciding to leave the path of the sword behind. What was a quiet and happy life for a human was, for Kalimor, an idle existence full of boredom. His very being craved battle. Over the course of his existence, Kalimor changed many owners but never ceased asking himself questions about his purpose. In one such quest, he even took up blacksmithing in the vain hope of creating beings like himself and alleviating his own loneliness. Nevertheless, no matter what heights of craftsmanship he achieved, it led nowhere. Ultimately, Kalimor returned to his former life, gradually earning an increasingly darker reputation. On one hand, he was considered a mighty weapon capable of granting its owner the experience of centuries of battles. On the other hand, it was believed that his owners were always destined for an unenviable fate, as Kalimor pushed them toward ever new feats. Gradually, more and more heroes emerged seeking the sword not to use it, but to destroy it. Partly for this reason, but partly also due to a hidden desire to attract the attention of the Iron Lord, Kalimor made his move by prompting one of his last wielders to found a knightly order dedicated to the sinister deity. If nothing else, that was sure to ensure a steady flow of loyal wielders. However, as practice showed, even this proved insufficient, and over time the order was destroyed by its enemies, and an exorcism rite was performed on Kalimor himself. Stripped of his past, his influence, and also his ill repute, Kalimor ended up in the grasping hands of the "Claws of the North." Origin Sentient Sword Sword Type Claymore Conviction The Iron Lord In the hearts of the Iron Lord's followers burns the eternal flame of the smithy's forge, their skin becomes like steel, and their armor and weapons never fail them. +1 to Faith Attributes Physique: 5 Agility: 5 Perception: 5 Cognitive Abilities: 25 Faith: 5 Beauty: 1 Talent Blacksmith +3 to Physique A lucky horseshoe, a pouch of nails, and a hammer Thread of Fate Elder The player character may give advice to another player's character, granting the latter between 0 and 100 experience points (once per day and for no more than 3 characters). Skills Telepathy (passive) Kalimor is able to communicate telepathically with surrounding creatures, ignoring any possible language barriers. Kalimor's speech sounds to the target either as an abstract voice in the head or as a series of images (if the target is an animal incapable of speech). (At higher levels?) Kalimor is able to influence the target's perception, making it believe the speech comes from the mouth of a character he designates. (At even higher levels?) The ability works at long distances, implying that the target knows Kalimor and trusts him. Immortal Nature (passive, irreplaceable) Being a sentient sword, Kalimor is alien to the hardships of biological losers. Kalimor needs no sleep, air, or food, and is immune to poisons, diseases, negative weather effects, and other similar effects (as determined by the GM). Mind Over Matter (passive) Kalimor gains a bonus to physical parameters (strength, health, speed, evasion, and accuracy) depending on his spell power. Wielder (passive, irreplaceable) By mutual consent, Kalimor may be used as a weapon by other characters. In such a case, the physical parameters of the wielder and Kalimor's spell power are used to calculate both characters' capabilities. Additionally, the wielder may use Kalimor's active abilities. Kalimor himself is still able to take actions on his turn but cannot move. (At higher levels?) The wielder receives benefits from "Mind Over Matter," but to a lesser extent than Kalimor himself. In the absence of a player-wielder, Kalimor uses a mindless puppet, such as a golem, suit of armor, or statue, as a temporary body. If the wielder is disarmed, Kalimor may return to their hands on his turn as a free action. Levitation (passive) Out of combat, Kalimor and his wielder are able to slowly hover above the ground, gaining access to previously unreachable places and ignoring certain terrain elements (obstacles like pits or traps like snares). (At higher levels?) Kalimor can extend the effect of this ability to his party companions. (At even higher levels?) Levitation works in combat, but only on Kalimor and his wielder. Absorption (active) Kalimor destroys or damages the target's equipment, restoring part of his own health in the process. Kinesis (active, ranged) Kalimor pushes or pulls the target along a straight line, dealing damage for each tile traversed. If an obstacle lies in the target's path, it takes increased damage. If the obstacle was another character, they also take damage. If the obstacle is Kalimor himself, or the target ends its movement on a tile adjacent to him, he makes an out-of-turn attack. (At higher levels?) If the target's obstacle is an ally of Kalimor, or the target ends its movement on a tile adjacent to Kalimor's ally, that ally makes an out-of-turn attack. Shockwave (active, ranged) Enemies in the line of attack take damage and suffer the knocked down effect. If the target was airborne, it lands. Inventory Puppet An armor-wielder, as pictured. To look presentable and ominous. Presentably ominous. Blacksmith Tools So the puppet can perform repairs on its master and give him guard massages. Whetstone For when one feels like chewing on something. Ornate Scabbard For when one desires comfort and coziness. At the GM's Discretion Perhaps some precious gems set into the guard, as an alternative equipment option for the character. Or something along those lines. Not entirely sure if it's needed or warranted, so I didn't bother properly detailing it. |
Can I smoke outside of battle without spending a charge? Mostly, I took it for role-playing purposes.
