Posts from Heart of the Night
No, no, I'm just sharing my adventures, impressions, and utter inattentiveness)
1) Is there an alternative way to obtain Sandro's Cloak? If you don't guess the password in the mini-artifact forge and lose access, Karlam still doesn't tell the mad scientist about it, and he continues to wait for mini-artifacts that we can no longer get. It seems that after 4 or 5 months after the battle with the forge guards, skipping turns (until I got tired), the security protocols were still being updated.
2) What determines when the "strengthening of the Eternal Night" event occurs, after which night falls on the fourth day instead of the fifth?
3) Also, I didn't quite understand why Baal sometimes chases the player in Turgal's dungeon/on the snowy mountain, and other times he cannot reach the player in these places. Tests with Karlam starting on day 5 in Turgal's dungeon/on the surface yielded nothing.
P.S. This map makes playing the Invasion from Hell campaign quite fun because Sigrif's hell wave is replaced by the overpowered Urgash's Hatred, with which he easily defeats everyone except emerald and black dragons, demons, and earth elementals)
I played through this great map again, this time to clarify some points. I didn't manage to figure it out)

1) There isn't an alternative; the idea is that the player won't be able to break through the forge's defenses if they answer incorrectly. And there is a hint about the correct answer right next to the portal to the mountain from the Turgal underground.
2) For the strengthening, half of the days until the full onset of the Eternal Night must pass.
3) I think it might be that the game can't correctly calculate the distance between heroes if they are on different levels of the map
How to defeat the Guardian? I've already tried a bunch of different approaches...
spoiler:
his elementals only die from his own spells (there's a hint about this in the message before the battle).Thank you for the great map, even though it's very challenging in some parts!
I still don't understand if there will be a sequel in the form of a campaign?
Yes, the campaign will be released soon.
(I registered just to write here)
I started a playthrough with this hero (of course, I thought I knew how to play this game).
When the first Necromancer appeared, I didn't know what to do. Well, through some simple adjustments (having/not having war machines, building buildings in the town, deploying/not deploying units), I set up the initial battle conditions so that the archers could reach his ballista and disable it with the first shot. I simply underestimated the attack skill of the hero and only remembered about "Deadly Chill" after the victory (although there were still no cold spells in the guild). (Greta was level 15 - class skill + light (storm + protection) and education). Despite the lack of a ballista, he still overwhelmed me with numbers until, after a certain number of attempts, I somehow managed to defeat him, albeit with some losses - almost all the archers remained, half of the dryads, and more than half of the sprites (he amused himself by casting slow on the archers, and I cast haste on them in return - by the time I ran out of mana, the battle was also coming to an end).
Okay, then the second one appeared - by this time, I had cleared all the available underground areas and thought it would be easy. Well, it turned out to be, but only after the first 10-20 attempts - until I pumped up my attack, put an archer on an antimagic horse, and had the ultimate beast eat her. She amused herself by casting blind on the archer, and I removed it. (and also plague, etc.). With the third one, I also didn't understand at first - but the ultimate beast ate him too (I had just switched from luck with magic support to defense and back to mass evasion). The 4th and 5th ones were easily defeated by the antimagic on the archers.
Meanwhile, Karlam was running around peacefully, somehow defeated the Guardian and the Sorcerer in the dungeon, dug up a tear there - ran up to the garrison - and then, instead of "Radiant Beacon," I was given some Princess Adelina. (I probably shouldn't have discarded other maps in the map editor along with this one).
(in general, Baal still one-shotted me (except for the BDP) - I went to look at the forum and walkthrough videos, and then I lost interest in replaying everything and also rebuilding everything to fight Baal).
That's the story, basically.
