Oops, I accidentally included Sysnemis’s voice, but it doesn’t really matter, as it doesn’t change anything.

Along with the applause, Futabu is invited to come up on stage.

Oops, I accidentally took Sismet's voice into account, but it doesn't really matter, it doesn't change anything anyway.

Said Duncan.

- Is this some kind of joke? - Futaba asks her grandfather, crossing her arms over her chest. - Did you do the calculations without your glasses, "teacher"?

The Barbarian's mind was working overtime, as if its gears were from an early version of a golem. "Niriana should have had ten votes, half of the girls were for her. Toad had himself and two bribed twins voting for him. As for Gideon... Oh, who cares, it's just a circus!!! Sir Duncan, do you really like Futaba that much? I do too, but by so obviously favoring her, you're not only breaking the rules, you're making a mockery of the feelings of the entire academy, and you're reducing Futaba to the level of some speechless doll! How dare you put on such a circus? Aren't you a military man, or is the law not written for the commander? I thought Levisia was a bad director, but now I've seen everything." Varya claps gently, not revealing anything on her face, echoing the other students, if they are doing so.

- Is this some kind of joke? - Futaba asks her grandfather, crossing her arms over her chest. - Did you forget your glasses, "teacher"?

— I am completely serious. I suppose you turned out to be more popular than expected! — He smiles kindly. — Ha-ha! Come on, don't be shy!
Most of the students are also applauding. Some with suspicion, some with apathy, and some even sincerely.

After enduring the long, unwavering gaze of the bearded jester, he slowly walks onto the stage.

Taimanike couldn't understand the point of this whole voting charade if the decision was still being made by someone higher up. And it wasn't even like they were trying to hide it; the "correct" results would raise questions even for someone like Jayme and Neidzh. This was clearly not a simple mistake or oversight, but a deliberately demonstrative decision. It was strange that they didn't just come out and say it directly. The only remaining question was why Futaba was chosen. Was it a desire to see if her peers would rebel against someone who had obtained the position in this way? Or were the assumptions about NAILS' goals correct, and those in charge decided that she was the best fit for the chosen program? Perhaps the only thing that saved this event from being a complete waste of time was the impromptu concert by their new curator. However, it was also interesting to see the reaction of her peers to such a crushing "victory" for Leile, but the conversations could be listened to later. For now, all that remained was to applaud, whether it was Futaba's "success" or the audacity of the NAILS administration.

As Futaba takes the stage, she finds herself surrounded by clapping teachers who say in unison, "Congratulations."
— An almost unanimous victory speaks volumes about the students' trust in you, and that is worth a lot. Well done! Now," Duncan directs his gaze towards the audience, "do you remember, those gathered here, your first step on the path to NAILS?"

And here come the heel kisses.

Do you, gathered here, remember your first step on the path to NAILS?

"Choose your weapon? Or will there be another entrance exam?" Varja wasn't sure what they were talking about.

no expansion is complete without a crazy shoe-maker in charge; thankfully, this time it's at least a man.

“This,” Duncan pulls a note from one of his pockets, clearly written by someone else, and reads, “Futaba’s sudden victory, with her figure that is elegant even by the standards of the Four and the Seven, evokes genuine delight. You approach her and sincerely tell her how deeply impressed and delighted you are by her nobility and beauty, how you rejoice every day at the opportunity to see her in person, and how shocked you are to be so close to her, after which you fall into a deep faint from the overwhelming charm and remain in it until the ceremony is over.” This is the mood expected of you on this wonderful day and during the ritual. The ritual, in turn, consists of the following: “you will approach the president, kneel, lick her shoe with your lips, carefully wipe it with a handkerchief, thank her for such an honor, and accept her words of instruction.” He puts the note back where he took it from. “You should come up with the words of gratitude yourself. And most importantly, show the highest degree of respect in your manners and speech. You will leave here either having satisfied all the expectations listed above or dead. That’s all.” The hall is enveloped in absolute silence.

No, the Heroes player meant the king with his brilliant initiatives.
