Taimanike couldn't understand the point of this whole voting charade if the decision was still being made by someone higher up. And it wasn't even like they were trying to hide it; the "correct" results would raise questions even for someone like Jayme and Neidzh. This was clearly not a simple mistake or oversight, but a deliberately demonstrative decision. It was strange that they didn't just come out and say it directly. The only remaining question was why Futaba was chosen. Was it a desire to see if her peers would rebel against someone who had obtained the position in this way? Or were the assumptions about NAILS' goals correct, and those in charge decided that she was the best fit for the chosen program? Perhaps the only thing that saved this event from being a complete waste of time was the impromptu concert by their new curator. However, it was also interesting to see the reaction of her peers to such a crushing "victory" for Leile, but the conversations could be listened to later. For now, all that remained was to applaud, whether it was Futaba's "success" or the audacity of the NAILS administration.
