Perhaps he may seem gloomy and taciturn to a stranger, but his heart and soul are in the right place, as they say.
Books about Valkyries and the Queen: my analysis of how good/bad the effects are. Plesa's submenu. - Queen: for someone with a persuasion skill focused on resources/additional units/some skills (which, as I understand it, won't be lost) and provided it fits the role-playing aspect, the book allows you to acquire something great without losing anything. An excellent pick. The problem is that few people will want to change their persuasion skill for role-playing reasons; moreover, the Queen has recently acquired a serious competitor in this regard in the form of a warship with torpedoes. And for the Arteryans, the book turned out to be completely useless, which I, frankly, did not expect. - Vita: money wins, you can't go wrong with this. Unless you happen to be some kind of ascetic, but we don't have any of those. - Sachiko: an effect that will trigger once every five battles, but by the time it does, you'll already be killed in the previous four. And if it does trigger successfully, you'll be immediately finished off with your single hit point. Invincible? Sounds a little optimistic, maybe.

For Arteryans, it is quite good, on par with its direct competitor, Liutgard, but not better. Mainly because it doesn't work against mindless enemies. - Chanchan: good for tanks to improve metal absorption, and for fragile characters to give them a few extra hit points. It seems that both effects are defensive, but their target audience is completely different, which makes it difficult to call the effect top-tier. A durable character in heavy armor won't benefit much from +7 absorption against most enemies, and +25 hit points are meaningless, while fragile characters are useless with absorption. - Kayano Sayaka: the very situational +25% resistance to wood shouldn't even be considered an effect. Vampirism is good for monsters with high DPS, like Ren and Air, and it will also give Ryohei additional opportunities to restore health. However, the less damage a character deals, the weaker the effect. Often, regeneration would be better if you're choosing. - Gisela: simply the best universal effect. In essence, Gisela increases by a certain percentage the already strongest stat in the game. - Felicia: a strong and useful effect for any Artaryan. Non-Arteryans, however, usually have little faith and ways to increase that faith, but if you're "lucky" with this stat, then here's a way to use it. - Lobelia: useless if you don't have an instance of water damage. However, for Ilva, it has become a powerful pick, even stronger than Gisela, considering her water magic and water damage on her sword. - Akate: she is stronger than all those I called "useless," but weaker than all those with real effects. No matter how you look at it, in most cases, you want to cling to your current life rather than plan for the next one. Although this may be the wrong strategy, who knows... - Limma: top-tier for musicians, moderately useful for merchants, craftsmen, and leaders; for everyone else, it's just a chance for one single useful stat, coupled with the potential to annoy fewer nobles by lacking etiquette (but it's usually better not to deal with those for whom this is important). - Liutgard: after Gisela and, probably, Vita, the best universal Valkyrie.
