There's some sad story that happened between her biological father and the baron, and now she and Lord Gungnir are in "somewhat" strained relations, although I don't think it's mutual. At first, I thought that Air was only interested in weapon training and wasn't interested in anything else or communicating with anyone; but, as it turns out, our recent travels have affected her and allowed her, so to speak, to reveal herself as a person with many different talents. Which is probably good for her mental health...
