I understand that side-scrollers and scroll-shooters are not the same thing, but just to stay on topic:

I've noticed (in the RGG community at least) that it's become fashionable to use a different word for the genre.

Before, people used to say "scroll-shooters," and now they say "SHMUP" (shoot 'em up).
I don't know what that's about.

Whom?

It's easier to pronounce, at least. Maybe that's the reason.

Everyone who appears on the screen.

Similarly, the ancient genre "beat em up".

Everyone has probably played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES. Or Streets of Rage.

A character or a pair of characters move from screen to screen, and on each one they must beat up in hand-to-hand combat the enemies that appear there.

Some kind of 3.14zDARIIKII today. Taking damage to both physical and morale at once is not a great combination.

You just described my morning today. My head, by the way, still hurts as if I'd had a drink, but I didn't touch any alcohol.

Surprisingly, I also had a headache today.

What a bunch of sickos we all are...

Next year will be 20 on HeroesWorld, actually, but HeroesWorld is exactly the good thing in life.

By the way, I had a single moment today around five in the evening when a sharp pain struck.

It happens to me, but usually there are precursors—I at least have an idea what caused it.

But this time there seemed to be no reason. I was even thinking, "Damn, I wouldn't want to be laid up right now."
But it passed, almost immediately.

Apparently, it's weather sensitivity—at our age, that's hardly surprising to anyone anymore. :smile39:
