- That's how it is, kid, - says the Dawnbringer to the squire, stripped to the waist and stitching up a wound on his mighty torso - he didn't trust doctors much. - Remember this - you should always have backup plans. I had them, but even so - the chaotic nature of life sometimes destroys them against your will. And I'm not much of a team player either. But what matters is how easily you can get back into the fight. As long as you're not dead, you're alive. And that means there's always a chance to turn things around, - he shifts his gaze from the wound to the little guy. - But man, I cut them down in style, didn't I? Ha-ha-ha-ha! Like some kind of avenger! Collected all the commander heads! I try to do things with flair, you know, life is an ordinary thing, and there's not much beauty in it. Except for the kind we can create ourselves - and then it starts to shine with new colors. So... one hundred and ninety-nine confirmed eliminations. Who's going to be the two hundredth? - for a brief moment, his consciousness is intercepted by a bipolar-fragmented "worm". - And how many do you have? I can see you're good with a sword?
And I noticed a flaw on Reven's part. Some of the Albus members (Ferlyuts and Avesom, for sure) have learning points they haven't spent, because the order's perk was counted as a learned skill (which it is not). Not sure what to do about those already defeated, but the rest can now suddenly learn a new skill each.
And when will you stop helping Reven buff the NPCs?
I can give you advice too, you know. Like Loken recently asked with his squire...

Well, we need you to give advice only to us, and not to the GM😌

- And did the master get anything worthwhile in exchange for these bruises and scratches? Style is style, but essentially injuries for the amusement of a bloodthirsty audience. I think we could have fought and you would have understood my level, but I have no chance against you. Alas, I was not lucky enough to be born or become knight material. Only I didn't understand - against whom and for what was the vengeance carried out?
Only thing I didn't get — who was avenged, and for what?
- No one, really, it just fit the occasion. Sounds cool, doesn't it — "the Avenger." Truth is, I have no enemies, not even among those who think they are my enemies. I see life as a canvas full of potential, which we shape with strokes of the brush however we please.
- And did the master get anything worthwhile in return for these bruises and scrapes? Style is style, but in essence, injuries for the amusement of a bloodthirsty crowd. I think we could have fought, and you would have understood my level, but I stand no chance against you. Alas, I was not lucky enough to be born or to become knight material.
- Oh, absolutely! I got this, and that's what matters most! — the master presses his index finger to his temple. — Intelligence. Experience. Understanding. Bruises and scrapes will heal, but knowledge remains. Do you understand now? Life is a long game: losers get cut off, winners remain, — Vargas pats the lad on the shoulder with a smile. — Heh. You're a good lad, there's something bleak about you, I can feel it, but there's spirit, there is. That's no trouble, we'll strengthen it. My squire will be the best in the kingdom, that's not up for debate! So you have zero kills? Seems fate itself brought us together. Either you'll become my two hundredth, or I'll be your first. Ha-hah, as strange as that may sound! Will you show me what you've got? — Lester draws a Swiss Army knife as a weapon. — Don't frown, it's simple. I won't be able to gauge your strength if other factors are involved. And that's very important to measure.
