I really enjoyed the first season and the first OVA – there were a lot of cool characters, nice content, and the setting itself was quite interesting.

Yes, I even remember recommending it to you at some point because I was curious about your opinion. Back then, it seemed like the setting stood out positively compared to similar ones, and the atmosphere evoked a certain warmth, although I can't really recall anything particularly outstanding now.
It's been about four years since then, but it's still funny that I unintentionally reminded you of it.

Excellent sequel, didn't disappoint despite the completely new cast + you can take a lot of screenshots for backgrounds of winter countries in the expansions.

When bad rolls made you lose a deadly fight / drew unlucky fate cards / spent all your pulls in the gacha and got nothing. 

When you present players with a new setting and again it has overpowered Japanese characters / idols exist.

When you come to Ment's place for a visit.

When a player complains in DMs about balance or GM decisions and you lose your temper. 

When you gave a player character poisoned tea to drink.

When in the next expedition you gave the player tea that grants bonuses but they refused to drink it fearing it was poisoned. 

When you attacked an NPC and it turned out to be the GM's character.

When you ran interesting events and finally finished a tough battle.

When a bit later you realize you made serious mistakes while calculating the combat and the players are ready to tear you apart.

When you're thinking of closing the campaign early.

When you're about to have coffee and wonder whether it will make you sick or not.

When you report to the Creator and other moderators about specific content. 

When you shoot down lifers.

When you traveled beyond the borders of the Reimia Empire.

When you finally met HeroesWorld folks IRL and they plan to treat you to potatoes.

And well, when... You found a charming character who will stay with you for years to come. 

When I poisoned a player's character with tea.
When, in the next expedition, I gave the player tea that granted bonuses, but he didn't drink it, fearing it was poisoned.

When you're forced to wear pants as a punishment.

When only one player took the perk for increased income and was able to buy a full set of equipment, and not just the top piece*.

I counted 4 girls wearing pants, and another one wearing golf pants.

Ah, yes, one of them is wearing leggings. The other two, in my opinion, are wearing tights.

I remember that when I finished watching this series, I decided to postpone the prequels and side stories for another time, so to speak, "save the best for later." At first, I just didn't want to consume a good title all at once, then I was busy with other content, or I wasn't in the mood to watch something good. As a result, this "later" stretched out for ten years, and I only started watching the prequels now, but maybe it's for the better. Initially, I thought that Gaiden had 24 episodes, but as I watched it, I found out that there were as many as 52, but I watched them all in just a few days. The combination of an engaging story, the Japanese approach to world-building and storytelling, and classical music is truly a meditative experience.

Let me share my thoughts on the anime series of the past year. (Munou na Nana)
I was advised to watch this detective-like series, and I started the first episode, and, to be honest, I wasn't impressed. The artwork isn't particularly appealing, although it's decent, and the premise involves high school students, a guy with complexes meets a girl, falls in love, and, of course, he'll eventually save the world. In general, I barely made it through the end of the episode, and then it was like: "Huh? Oh, seriously?! Well, let's keep watching!"
Still, the anime lacks really cool detective mysteries, and most of the characters feel like extras, making it a bit boring. But the tense atmosphere is very good, and the fate of the characters in the end is not indifferent. I would call this anime a discovery of the past year because, in terms of "My expectations vs. what I actually got," it simply breaks all records.
8/10 Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau, in Russian, it was called "The Whales That Sing in the Sands." And yes, I was wrong; it's from 2017, not 2020. It was produced by Netflix.
When I first saw this title, I immediately decided that I would watch it. I can't pass by something that sounds so funny, paradoxical, and cute.
In general, the show looked roughly like that, except there wasn't much that was actually funny. The plot isn't particularly brilliant or original; you shouldn't expect anything like that, it's just a beautiful and moderately interesting fairy tale. Perhaps, it's somewhat in the spirit of Miyazaki, although not as emotionally touching. In general, this anime is just to have a pleasant time.
