Name: Archipelago of Life Map name: Life archipelago Map type: Scenario Two-level map: yes Number of players: 3 Size: Medium Map author: Security Florkingold Description: A picturesque town with blooming fields and green trees is located between two Necropolis domains, as if mocking them. Moreover, the people have hidden powerful artifacts on their lands. Having learned about the relics, Lucretia decided to teach her neighbors a lesson and also pay a visit to her brother, who had already had the honor of meeting the Imperials.
I also checked it in the editor. It has decent detail for a Might and Magic game. I'll sit down and play for an hour. It definitely sparked my interest in the game. I'll share my thoughts on the gameplay as I play.
I completed the map with a hero. Thank you, author, for your effort. I enjoyed it, but I will only play it again after working on the map in the editor. Because everything is obvious and linear, like Captain Obvious. It used to be cool. Now, I want something like the "Condition of Blood" map, or "Sunset of Erathia," or "Path of the Necromancer." Since I've chosen such an ambiguous faction. The author is great, respect! Make more.
Soon you will be able to, I just passed the topic on to the author, of course, the map can no longer be downloaded. Everything will be available today closer to 4 PM.
it would be good to disable astral gates on the map, probably
in the initial version, there was only one-way portal to pass through, so it was impossible to return to the town after transitioning to the human location; then, astral gates helped, as well as the portal to the town.
I completed the map in 41 days as a "hero." The map is decent but significantly underdeveloped. "Astral Gates" should have been disabled. The Dungeon in its current form is unnecessary. It can simply be removed; there's nothing to do there. The Keymaster's Tent is also largely unnecessary and can be removed. For such a small map, the number of errors with objects is surprising. Was the map even looked at or tested? (No access to buildings: 97.26, 92.28, 131.98. Cannot approach: 74.59. Guards are separate from resources; on the surface: 64.10, in the Dungeon: 72.33, 95.72. I might have missed something else. In the topic description: Map name - Life archipelago, but the actual file name is Archenemy). In terms of combat, everything is too simple. This ease is established immediately by joining the Greymane vampires and providing very powerful artifacts within easy reach. The main opposing heroes could have at least put up a fight. Giovanni, who is the reason for all the fuss, made one move, cast a spell, and was defeated. The map was unexpectedly won.
I probably agree with 13ga. The map is passable and doesn't hurt the eyes. It's strange that there's a Haven outpost near the Necropolis lands (Giovanni)! As I understand it, the Dungeon is just a place to strengthen your forces before the second half of the map. I completed it in one day on the "Call to Arms" difficulty.
Thank you to the author for the game.
