Posts from Walkthroughs for custom maps.

I don't know how anyone can watch a "normal" walkthrough where they try to edit save files and add 5,000 Titans, because they're too lazy to replay a couple of simple battles. In my opinion, that's just embarrassing.
And there it was: hitting with your hands is just too slow, and skipping such an easy exploit doesn't seem quite right 🤔

Well, it is what it is. I recently managed to beat a map that seemed impossible back in the day (it just needed some hints to be read 😄
).
I'll add that 30k elementals shouldn't be compared to the first weeks of Metatasker, where all the battles take less than an hour, even without SODs.

This is bad map design if it is really one long, grindy battle, especially if it is at the beginning.

Mostly tedious battles. There are some logistical errors, but they are not critical, so I didn't replay them.
I want to try playing as Vertigo as my main hero. I'm not sure if it will work out, though.
The battle with Phantom is quite interesting; I learned a new trick – you can drain mana by blinding your own unit.
Dude, you should develop your YouTube channel. You have potential!
Just regularly upload videos, otherwise it will become stale.
I watched about 20 minutes of Metataks, and I liked it. The battles aren't easy.
I'll definitely finish watching it when I have time.
За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того

Hmm, but why? The desire to simply show how the walkthrough turned out is not the same as the desire to gather and attract an audience.
Basically, Ed's stream triggered a bit of nostalgia, and I decided to create a new walkthrough plus a video. It's unlikely to be on a permanent basis.

What I noticed for myself is that I managed to save the Armageddon Blade and rescue the friend - the logistics expert. This is where the fast pace comes from (especially Armageddon on the Azure Dragons to save Lil).
Question - why at the beginning, when we keep the blade for ourselves, does the enemy with the sorcerers not trigger the quest (to release a hero with damage and a lot of troops)? Is it because we came very early and left quickly, and our rescued hero just hid on the boat? Why doesn't the enemy trigger the quest and release a hero?
The topic of turbo-acceleration has, of course, been discussed many times - whether to play with it or not. But! Acceleration can be good, for example, in Ed's streams, when he struggles with one battle 100 times. In your videos, especially since this is a speedrun, it is VERY DESIRABLE to see what and how you do, because with turbo animation, all of this simply disappears. So, in this mode, I think viewers will find it interesting. Those who think it's too slow can just fast-forward or watch at 1.5x speed. Although, of course, it's painful for me to watch how to manually distribute the units before the battle
, but according to the canon of video guides for Walkthroughs, this is, in my opinion, a tradition. I think I got used to such guides back in the days of Chinese YouTube.I understand that making a video is a lot of work. But if you could at least add a couple of sentences or paragraphs here about the idea behind the speedrun, it would be very interesting to read. You don't need to describe every step, it takes time, I understand. But it would be very interesting to read about the overall plan. As I understand it, the idea is to save the starting hero (attack the enemy hero and retreat). But why is he needed if there is no wisdom (to spend the night near the tavern and buy back hit-and-run units)?
The second fast progress is to save the friend-logistics expert and give him wisdom and everything he needs to run around the map. This is a very strong move, and it is unlikely that the author thought of it (?).
The third point is saving the Armageddon Blade, which is also unexpected, although, probably, someone definitely tried to keep it

Well, and quickly capturing all the castles, lairs, and getting bonuses within a week is, of course, "ordinary" for a speedrun, although it looks very cool!
Why doesn't the enemy trigger the quest and release the hero?

I understand the idea is to keep the starting hero (attack the enemy hero and retreat). But why is he needed if there's no Wisdom skill (to spend the night near a tavern and buy back defeated heroes)?
Could you please tell me how to enable the display of secondary skills and artifacts of the enemy in SOD_SP? Alt + RMB only shows spells, but in videos, people open the hero window, so what am I doing wrong?
I need to update the plugin for the latest HDmod version.I've been too busy to do so lately, but I may have time in the coming weeks.
