I started watching it about a year and a half ago, then dropped it, but recently picked it up again and finished it today. I wouldn't say it was that bad – many of the serious moments actually looked very comical, which, although not planned that way, was perceived more positively than negatively. The landscapes and food are also nicely drawn, although in general, the artwork is mediocre. And as it turns out, the pinnacle of swordsmanship is either a sword floating by itself in the air or when you swing a sword like a club. I’ll probably try to see what happens in the next seasons.
Oh yeah, and the antagonist here was pretty good too. I still like evil and arrogant anime girls.

Another drop, this time from 2017. It's much more enjoyable to watch now than it was when I started it back then; perhaps because I've gotten used to the characters and what's happening doesn't seem like completely random fights between unfamiliar people anymore (now they are random fights between familiar people, hehe). I remember that Mordred didn't appeal to me at the time, but now she and her master seemed fine, as did some other characters. And basically, only Shiro wasn't very good, and Atlanta's squeals were a bit annoying.

Is this some kind of perverted thing? Girls react in two ways when I pull down my pants – either they stare intently or look away, which gives me an advantage in a fight against them!
It would be nice if it weren't so empty – there are fights, but no ecchi content, and basically, there’s nothing to watch.

Spice and Wolf ("Spice and Wolf", 2008 TV-1 and 2009 TV-2)
I have always been quite skeptical about this title, but I was recommended it, and…
Two seasons flew by very quickly. "Spice and Wolf" is an unconventional approach to conflict, from the perspective of a merchant, not some warrior or schoolboy (or all together, as often happens), with a wonderful medieval European setting, music that really fits the theme and leaves a deep impression, and, of course, how can we do without all sorts of cunning female tricks?
The main character is one of the most relatable protagonists in anime that I've seen. It’s great that he is mature and smart, but also slightly naive; his emotions and thoughts are perfectly conveyed to the viewer.
Wolf – well, she is a wolf, as I already said, so much cunning and guile, but at the same time everything is somehow surprisingly presented in a positive light.
Regarding specific plot arcs, the entire first season and the beginning of the second kept me on edge, but the last arc seemed somewhat vague, both in terms of conflicts and (especially) in terms of the ending. You know, even open endings should have some limits...
I guess I will have to read the manga.

Planetes (ΠΛΑΝΗΤΕΣ - プラネテス , 2004)

The idea seems interesting, and the anime is funny in places, but I'll probably drop it. The disjointed episodes, some of which are not very good and not absurd enough, don't keep me engaged, and I ultimately don't feel like watching this thing. Well, maybe I'll watch it occasionally when there's nothing else to do.

The Promised Neverland (The Promised Neverland - 約束のネバーランド , 2019)

10. No, I’m serious; there wasn’t even a question about it. This is the most powerful psychological thriller anime I have ever seen. Compared to “Attack on Titan” (which I criticize harshly, but still can’t deny that in terms of tension, the title quite deserves its quality mark), it’s just… well, “Attack on Titan” is like an “Artek” waffle, while this anime is like freshly baked Belgian soft waffles with a scoop of real vanilla ice cream on top. Or like a scooter versus a Tesla car. In short, you can make many comparisons, but the point is clear.
And besides its suspense, one cannot fail to note that everything else here is also excellent. Starting with the fact that there are no annoying characters. That alone is enough for a ten. But add to that the fact that there are no stupid jokes. Although, perhaps it’s sad that humor is scarce overall, but somehow I didn't even notice it.
Okay, enough. I don't have many emotions other than "it was cool," and I don't know what to write about.

I'm surprised you didn't make any jokes about the superficial resemblance of one of the minor characters to Sokka. As for this rating, I tend to agree – the title is very strong. I hope it doesn't decline in quality in subsequent seasons after such a good start.

Director's voice: check this out! I don’t have just another generic moe, colorful, and bright piece of garbage here; I have an intellectual arthouse film! Grimdark medieval Japan in brown and gray tones where every second person has their head chopped off, every first person has their hand cut off, and every third person has their eye gouged out. Blood, guts, rape! Where else will you see something like that?
I should note that more hands were cut off here than even in Star Wars. The plot itself can be summarized as follows: there are heroes in group A, as well as characters from groups B and C, and they slowly kill each other. However, I wouldn't say it's completely bad or unwatchable; it's quite suitable when you need something to watch while eating.
The good things include the fact that there were enough funny moments, although it is not certain whether they were intended to be so, and the nature and architecture are drawn nicely.

Well, that means there are two or three of you, depending on whether the quotes have different authors.

When it comes to adaptations of the original Fate series, I always come to the same conclusion – the novel was better. After rewatching the first film based on the third route today, which I saw about two years ago, and immediately following that with the second one, my opinion on this hasn’t changed at all. However, since the novel has faded somewhat from memory, this adaptation seemed better to me than the previous ones. I am even considering revisiting the adaptation of the second route, which I didn’t like at all... Ideally, I should reread it, but reading in 2020 is something incompatible and shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence. The well-known setting and plot this time evoked a sense of nostalgia, and many things that I didn’t particularly like before were now perceived more favorably. I remembered that the characters, even though many of them aren’t very appealing to me for some reason, are made very well. Oh yes, the studio did an excellent job with the backgrounds and reminded me that Shirou lives in the house of my dreams, damn it. And overall, I think he made a big mistake; he should have romanced Ayako, left that damned city, and started mass production of little Shiro clones; then there wouldn't have been any problems, and the Grail War would have somehow resolved itself.

Perhaps the most mature anime I've seen by Miyazaki. What is it about? Is it about how happiness, even when close, can still be infinitely far away? Is it about the existence of a point of no return, when you are forced to remain a pig for the rest of your life? Is it about how your talents don't define who you are? Perhaps it's all of these things at once.
There is much to contemplate and feel sad about. But there is also much to dream about...
