Hanzo is the protagonist. Liu Ping is the main antagonist.
In this situation, he is more likely a secondary character who, out of naivety, saves the almost-defeated main villain and, as a reward, receives mind control.

Sounds like a plot point for the best anime of 2020.

In the next episode: together with his army of controlled men, he will kill the warlike Hain. Then, the necromancer will realize his mistake, after which he will resurrect the fallen warrior and, together with him, continue the fight against the invincible structuralist.
/ You forgot about the episode where the structuralist is impressed by a conversation with a Necromancer and starts to question herself, wondering if she is living her life correctly, and if the voice in her head is misleading her. At first, she just doubts, then it scares her, and Maylin eventually almost decides to be good. But then something bad happens to her; some scoundrel tries to drug/poison/take advantage of/kill her, and he tries to do it all at once. Cassmetra immediately states that she told her so! And that's it, Maylin becomes the final evil boss. / ------ / Hmm. Well, yes, I thought that the archers in this expansion are the most overpowered./
