Could this be due to the unusual creatures? I encountered a problem in the campaign for Agrael (the Ship mission) where it was impossible to complete the dragon task. If I brought a hundred elven archers of the second upgrade, it wouldn't recognize them. I was too lazy to redo it, so I just killed them, but the quest wasn't completed. So far, this is the only inconsistency I've encountered.

It's always better to fight dragons directly instead of bothering with archers; they won't cause any problems.

Yes, but usually you want to finish it as quickly as possible, and the speed of completion is also recorded there, I think.
I've been playing Heroes for many years, and I always have conflicting desires: on one hand, I want to complete a mission quickly, but on the other hand, I want to prolong the enjoyment. That's why I usually spend 3-4 months on average on a map. For particularly large or complex maps, it takes about 5 months.
There are missions that are better to complete quickly, for example, the second or fifth mission for the Sylvan faction.
And this is probably what I dislike the most in Heroes 5: essentially, it focuses on blitzkrieg tactics. Again, the final score in the leaderboard primarily depends on the completion time:smile17:.

In the fifth mission, I wandered around for 2 months near the starting castles, then I went to kill the undead, and completed it by the 6th month. Light and Darkness are overpowered.

Well, of course:) in missions where the scenario requires us to be fast, we have to be. I mean maps where you are not particularly constrained by time or unrealistic opponents who will arrive after a certain number of days if you don't finish in time.
I don't know how it is now, but I remember when I played version 1.0, there was a time when I got caught by Nicholas who had 4000 dragons, and that was just impossible to win.
And how does Darkness help so well against the undead? A lot of things don't work.
There was a bug in version 1.0 with dragons, but it was fixed with patches. Darkness is good with slowing and weakening effects. Slowing + acceleration, and the color of the attack bar starts to look very appealing.
