I feel roughly the same emotions towards both the 2D and 3D characters. In 2D, there are more opportunities for cool visual designs and effects, but overall, they're comparable.
The previous four movies I watched, I took from a random video I found on YouTube. It recommended a bunch of depressing movies. The last two aren't exactly depressing, they're just movies about the horrors of war and stuff. *House of Sand and Fog* and *Million Dollar Baby* are just dramas. Overall, the list is bad. The one I found based on TV series was good, but this one isn't.

This is probably how ordinary people imagine anime. In short, it's about guys competing to see who has the bigger drill and the thicker spiral.
+ THERE ARE ACTUALLY SCENES WHERE THEY THROW GALAXIES AT EACH OTHER. 10/10, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SUCH A SPACE OPERA FOR TWO YEARS. Starting with the second episode, I was almost constantly laughing like a hyena, and my vocabulary was reduced to the phrases "WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY SMOKING?" and "IMMEDIATELY GIVE ME THE DEALER'S NUMBER." This is a completely insane cartoon; the craziest things happen, especially towards the end, but that's what makes it so great. The plot and characters are simple but well-done. Kamina is a 10/10, definitely a must-have; Simon can also be added after the time skip, though. The other characters also left a pleasant impression; there were no annoying ones. In terms of atmosphere, it strongly reminds me of my favorite Slayers at the beginning, but when things take on cosmic proportions, it becomes something incomparable (in a good way). Watching all this madness is incredibly fun, except for some moments when characters die (which is logical). Also, Gurren Lagann itself has a beautiful design. - Kamina dies at the end of the eighth episode, we won't forget, we won't forgive T_T, and I was just starting to like him! The characters aren't particularly outstanding; no one really resonated with me, although I need to process my impressions; I'm writing this right after watching it. It's also worth noting the considerable number of below-the-belt jokes (which are quite funny, though I'm pretending to be sophisticated and acting like I only want highbrow humor). And just as in the anime thread, they were talking about fanservice; it's here in all its glory, aimed specifically not at me, but at guys (and lesbians, we're not homophobic). I want to take Yoko and dress her properly; the same goes for some other female characters (but Kamina and adult Simon with their bare torsos are fine, I'll take both, and there's fanservice for our brother... sister). = 10/10, an excellent spectacle, despite its flaws. And yes, I urgently need the phone number of their dealer.
A cool arthouse film from the director of Drive. I wouldn't say I liked it, but I wouldn't say I disliked it either. This is the fourth film with Gosling that I've watched. And in all four, he plays a silent, mentally unstable person (and he does it excellently). My favorite type of character.

Check out "The Nice Guys," Gosling plays a different kind of character there. It's a comedy.
Have you seen the new Blade Runner yet? What did you think?
Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?
+ It looks cool, overall it's a funny dark comedy, and the soundtrack in the opening/ending is really great, you can just listen to it. - It's still quite derivative. And I also hate cliffhangers in ongoing series. = 6/10, you can watch it in the background, but it's just a medieval Futurama for the poor, don't expect anything too serious.
Hmm, a sequel to one of my favorite cartoons, WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
+ Well, the plot is not that bad overall, although there are some oddities and clichés. I was pleased to see the "Inside Out" gimmick repeated with the absence of a final boss - there is a kind of antagonist here, but she is not a villain and by the end she has already reconciled with the main characters. And yes, it was nice to see my favorite cartoon and favorite characters again, no matter what anyone says. - Overall, it seemed quite depressing and soulless. The final scene didn't touch me at all, although it should have. My favorite Buzz is not featured enough, and he seems a bit dumb. There are too many characters, they are all here and none of them are superfluous, but for such a short time, there are too many - well, that's just too much. And yes, Forky is annoying. = 5/10, congratulations, Disney, you messed it all up. A fourth part was not needed. You can watch it, but no more. I don't deny that maybe I just wasn't in the right mood and someday I will watch it again and change my mind, but Disney messed it all up. But nothing new.
I heard announcements about a couple more Pixar cartoons on the horizon, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They made "Inside Out" while already being in Disney's captivity, and it turned out to be a masterpiece. Maybe they will be lucky with the new ones. Although I don't rule out a repeat of "Coco" or, God forbid, "The Good Dinosaur", if "Coco" at least annoyed me with its blatant clichés, then "The Good Dinosaur" was just nothing.
