Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
I heard it's from the creators of "Attack on Titan." That's quite possible.
+ It resonates with the aforementioned work, which I consider a good cartoon. The combat, the fluidity of movement, the design of the monsters, the overall essence of what's happening, the plot, the atmosphere. It's like "Attack on Titan for those who are not too picky and impatient," because there are only 12 episodes and the ending is relatively conclusive. And there are no drawn-out scenes or flashbacks that last for five episodes, as in "Attack on Titan." Overall, it's not bad, it's watchable. Also, the usual trick worked: "want to impress Koshu? Show her a cool monster."
- Well, it doesn't quite reach the level of the original. The characters are even more depressing, the atmosphere is not very well built up, and the first couple of episodes were frankly uninteresting to watch. I occasionally facepalmed at the women's outfits.
= 7.5/10, you can watch it, it's not bad overall, but there's a better alternative. I watched it because I liked "Attack on Titan" and wanted something in a similar style. It's good to watch with a beer, as they say.
