A good adaptation of a manga can be achieved by animating the pages of the original. Additionally, in anime, you get audio accompaniment and voice acting, which are absent in manga. Therefore, adapting everything 1 to 1 is not only possible but can even result in a product that is better than the original. However, it is impossible to fully adapt a novel, and unlike the example with manga, there are no advantages in the form of voice acting/music.
