Forgot to write a review. Well, it's a pretty good movie. The "external" life of the girl seemed a bit boring, and the "internal" one sometimes overdoes it with childishness... I have to say, I developed a rather prejudiced and negative attitude towards this anime, mainly due to the influence of the Hive community. It all started when either Razer (old-timers will remember) or his friend started actively and persistently pushing this masterpiece on me – I even watched one episode under such pressure, but I wasn't impressed. Then there was Gil, who chose L as his mascot – I didn't interact with him much, but I was aware of his reputation, and we all remember that epic incident with the SAyUZi. Plus, the overall atmosphere, setting, and plot didn't appeal to me. Against this backdrop, even my friend's lukewarm "it's a decent anime, I recommend it" went unnoticed.
Why did I decide to watch it? Well, it was hyped as the ultimate anime of the millennium, and I wanted something somewhat serious.
+ It's good that I watched it now, when I understand that it's okay to dislike or even outright hate the main character. Ten years ago, that thought wouldn't have occurred to me, although the preconditions for it were there. Anyway... Kira gets a 10/10. A disgusting, half-crazy jerk who evokes zero sympathy or empathy. I've seen opinions that the series goes downhill after episode 26 and the ending is terrible, but I completely disagree. Yes, the series does decline, but the ending is correct and fair, exactly as it should be. Overall, all the characters are very well-developed. Ryuk is awesome – it's a shame he becomes less prominent later on. Misa... Seriously, is there anyone she doesn't annoy?! I understand her obsession with L – he's one of the very few characters who resonate with me in a positive way; I actually felt sorry for him, even though he's a bit of an idiot at times. Also, Yagami-senior really resonated with me; he's another character you sympathize with. The plot is good, despite some moments and the stupidity in the later episodes; it's interesting to watch, and it's fun to follow the intricate plans and see who outsmarts whom – I had forgotten that I actually love detective stories. Also, the musical score is worth noting; the epic choir during epic moments is simply amazing, and I love it. And the first opening has great music.
- As I said earlier, the characters' stupidity spoiled the impression. Kira's stupid blunders, L's stupid blunders, and Misa's sheer stupidity. And the mess that followed L's death also felt lackluster, just to see if Kira would get what he deserves. Also, the second opening isn't very good; it's too aggressive and disjointed, both in terms of the visuals and the music – but at least it harmonizes with what's happening, unlike the "Titans" opening in the third season >_>. And overall, it leaves an unpleasant aftertaste – a reminder that humans are not just mortal, but suddenly mortal, just like in Bulgakov's works >_>. There's a lot of negativity, and almost no bright moments; everything is very bleak. Even "Attack on Titan" doesn't have that much despair. And ironically, if during the first viewing 10 years ago, I didn't like Light and was rooting for L, then a year ago, on the contrary, Light appealed to me. In general, I often get the impression that openings (and endings) for anime are made on the principle of "make half of them good, and half of them terrible." It was also the case in "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood," for example. The exception so far is Boku no Hero Academia. All of its openings are absolutely amazing (but not the endings).

It clashes terribly with the series itself. It creates complete dissonance. You can still tolerate it in isolation, but it doesn't fit at all when combined with the series. Even though I really like the openings of the first two seasons, seeing this in the third season is even sadder.
As for "The Alchemist," I like all the openings. The second one was a bit mediocre compared to the amazing first one, but I recently rewatched it – no, it's a good opening; I've just become too demanding.

Well, what can I say? It didn't have the same drive and feeling of a fresh theme as the first Ant-Man movie. Still, all the other positives are present: lots of fun, great dynamic action, and the plot is, in my opinion, definitely not worse. The characters in this comic book movie are quite lively, and the antagonists are good. The main character's daughter is awesome.

I watched it too. If you compare it to Black Panther (which came out a little earlier), it's better in every aspect. I also watched "Black Panther" before this. I realized that it made a lot of money because of its target audience and the theme of slavery, because the film itself is just okay.
