Is it impossible to implement a feature where the opponents in a mod are determined by mutual agreement?
Everything is possible, Dima, but it would also be interesting to learn other opinions to maximize interest among people... What you suggested is already known :p
I would play a standard GSC game))) it would be cool)))
It just seems that way to you after the cup. In reality, IRMG is more interesting, although there are also advantages to the standard, but for now, there are more disadvantages. However, if you take people who have never played IRMG, then there is only one option. I agree with Stefan here; playing on each template by agreement is a good option, but it's still worth making concessions for the standard players. If at least one player wants to play IRMG, then so be it. This applies to mods and the generator; the more people, the more fun it is)
Added 17 minutes later The thing is, it won't be difficult for a TE player to create decent competition for a standard player; the guys at the last original tournament showed this, in particular, Bolivar, the tournament winner. But switching so quickly from standard to IRMG, especially to TE, is problematic. But it's possible that this is a very good tournament format.
After playing in the latest tournament, I realized that there is a catastrophic lack of time for scouting in weeks 2-3. I suggest holding a "Thinker" tournament with a 15-minute timer.

Okay. The number of days for a long-lasting game should be limited to 8 weeks. Currently, with a 10-minute timer, 8 weeks (2 months, 56 game days) is more than 56x10=560 minutes, more than 9 hours, and with 15 minutes, it will be 56x15=840 minutes, more than 14 hours (in reality, it's even longer when simultaneous turns are interrupted). After both players have completed their turn 147, if there is no winner or loser, then both players are considered to have lost.
