Actually, I expect some kind of trickery at the coronation.
Actually, you're doing the right thing. It will turn out that the Sun Cultist paid some super assassin who instantly kills from invisibility, ignoring absolutely everything, or hired a squad of 20 vampires to kill the snake leader. Therefore, no matter how tempting it all sounds, I'm not a big advocate for this idea. But if you want to try to get away with it – I'm basically for it.
They will finally feel the flames Flames that run down through my veins I will make this city burn We're not planning to return

There would be little point in that. But I don't rule out the involvement of the Hand or the Mist. And precisely through some assassins. Moreover, the Mist doesn't have any quests right now.
Personally, I lean towards the more reliable and role-playing-oriented option of slipping away. I'm not sure Relhiras would be particularly interested in role-playing as the leader of such a clan anyway. Of course, the Heroes player knows best, but Relhiras made a slightly different impression on me. And Aldric isn't one to backstab employers unless there are very good reasons for it.
Added after 59 seconds Although the option of seizing power does seem like a more fun/entertaining option. Undoubtedly.
/The possibility of staying in Heckleia sounds great, however... politics is politics. You could have Relhiras come up with a rule for choosing a new leader before he leaves ("Now everyone fights everyone, and whoever survives will be the new leader!", it's been done before, a great way, I assure you) and then leave. Don't forget to take Bugurt's things with you. / / You can stay in power, set up guards, and gain the support of the Haven faction. In my opinion, there's no point in protecting the Dungeon creatures. /
("Now everyone fights everyone, and may whoever survives become the new leader!", this has happened before, it's a great way, I assure you).
If I were in the snakes' place, I would respond in the spirit of "How about our new rule: the leader is the one who delivers the final blow to the stupid outsider?".
/ By the way, thanks to Lok for the eulogy. This is what it means to not play solo; it's when your comrades can cover your death. It's worth it. /
I would, in the snakes' place, respond in the spirit of "And how do you like our new rule: the leader is the one who delivers the final blow to the stupid foreigner?".
/ We need to find out how authoritarian their power is, of course... /
Well, if we leave, I'm afraid they'll appoint a new leader, and the alliance with the Mantises won't fall apart. If Rel'sa becomes the leader, he might try to push for an alliance with the Solar.
On the other hand, there's a chance that the GM will either make Rel'sa a GM character or just turn the whole clan against us.
In my opinion, it would be fair and just to give Heroist the right to choose. After all, it's primarily about the fate of his character. And the prospect of trying to become an influential figure in the clan sounds very appealing.
I think we should introduce a parliamentary republic for the Snakes. However, to preserve their unique flavor, it should function while taking their traditions into account. Deputies from different political parties will decide on the adoption of a law through collective battles – whichever party wins, that party's law will be adopted. The arena will be converted into a state duma. How does that sound?

Actually, we were paid for this, and nothing more. But while the "elections" are taking place, a power vacuum will be created, during which the Solar faction will act.
Unfortunately, the more I think about what will happen at the coronation, the more I realize that Vistrit will be killed there, one way or another. Therefore, I'm changing my vote to "quietly slip away." We won't take the treasury – greed will ruin the fool, and this is the poorest clan anyway.

Aldric adopted/hired Emma into his squad and, to make her look like him (so it would seem like they were father and daughter, and there wouldn't be any unnecessary questions from others), he decided to gouge out one of her eyes. :)
