Inspired by Andrail's wolf mod, I decided to try something similar. It seems to have turned out quite well, so if anyone is interested, feel free to download it.
The mod replaces Hydras, Cave Hydras, and Dark Hydras with Manticores, Lamassu, and Scorpians, respectively. The Manticore slot is filled with the "Necromancer" creature.
Note: This mod is NOT intended for playing campaigns or pre-installed scenarios. It is strongly recommended not to combine it with other mods that modify the "Manticore," "Hydra," "Chaos Hydra," and "Dark Hydra" creatures in any way.
Thank you, and enjoy the game.
why is there a green manticoore? the colors of the grade are purple, and the colors of the alt-grade are red.
... И древний лес, роскошен и печален, Блистает там воздушностью прогалин. Но между кедров, полных тишиной, Расщелина по склону ниспадала. О, никогда под бледною луной Так пышен не был тот уют лесной...
Firstly, a purple manticoре seems a bit strange, IMHO. Secondly, almost all factions in H5 had exceptions in their color schemes, for example, poisonous wyverns. Thirdly, it's quite an original decision to use a lamassu, as it hasn't been seen in other similar mods yet.
But if it is a lamassu, I would still suggest reducing the intensity of the green color. Look at the lamassu in H6 and H7.

I want to improve the mod in terms of necromancy. I managed to make it so that when necromancers are killed, undead dragons don't rise. But how can I make it so that these necromancers (formerly manticores) can be raised from druids, mages, etc.?
I'm doing this:
In the RPGstats file, I change this:
Item
Dead>CREATURE_DRUID
Rise>CREATURE_LICH
/Item
to this:
Item
Dead>CREATURE_DRUID
Rise>CREATURE_MANTICORE
/Item
But it seems like this isn't enough, because after I attack a druid, nothing happens. No one is resurrected.
Please advise on how to fix this.

So, I checked out the mod. Among the drawbacks, I noticed that the Necromancer icon replaces the icon of Arantir himself. Also, I was a bit surprised that the Manticore is a lower level than the Lizard Riders. It seems a bit illogical.
Among the things I particularly liked, I would mention the death animation of the Necromancer. Of course, the head rotates 180 degrees, but nevertheless, it looks quite original and good overall.
Overall, this is a well-developed mod (for example, the weeks have been renamed) for replacing creatures.
The idea of using the Arantir model isn't bad in itself, but for some reason, the author didn't create a unique icon for the creature, which I think is a drawback. Heroes and creatures shouldn't have the same icon, if only because it causes inconvenience on the ATB scale.
As for manticores, that's a separate topic. In Heroes 6, they are drawn very well, unlike in Heroes 5. It's painful to look at them as neutral creatures, but here you can even admire them in your castle... especially since their model hasn't undergone any significant changes, except for some color adjustments in the editor.
