If you have templates that can be played through in 4 weeks in 90 percent of cases, even in one sitting during the day, I am ready to consider options.

Any template played by top players is finished within 4 weeks max in 90% of cases, unless, of course, there is a player who will run around until the last pathetic creature somewhere in a corner. And hence there are big doubts about a bunch of unknown or nearly unknown templates — has anyone among really strong players tested them? The name is loud, but the contents raise doubts. Well, even if XL+U doesn't fit the format due to possible dragging out, why not introduce МиниНоста, Daimond, h3dm1, mt_daimond, regular Jebus Cross?
PS If anything, I am speaking now not even from a player's position, but from a viewer's, so that there would be at least some interest in watching the "world championship" process. I was not going to participate myself anyway.

1. When discussing templates for the tempo tournament, there were very few suggestions.

This is always the case on HW. Everyone waits for the host to decide something, and then they start protesting. I'm already used to it... the discussion about templates for Game of Thrones 2 also stalled, so I guess I'll have to choose myself.

When going through templates, I considered the Diamond option — it is the closest to what is needed. On it, games often do run exactly for 4 weeks, and there have been cases dragging on for up to 2 months. For instance, take the last Mirror tournament:

These games fit within the limit, but were on the edge even at the TOP level. It's clear that no one can guarantee that a game, even on an M-template, will be played in 4 weeks. I am also keeping Mininosta in consideration until the very last moment. Diamond and Mininosta are templates that can be played in one sitting, but with a high probability, a streamer-commentator would be streaming such a game the entire day. I repeat again — if there are streamers willing to spend that much time, I am ready to allow such templates without any issue. And I am also ready to stream such templates myself if need be.

Regular Jebus Cross is already on the list, and the Mirror version is separately present.

The question of testing with truly strong players sounds utopian. From personal communication with a number of top players, I can say that only a few agree to spend a lot of their time within tight deadlines for someone else. I am open to suggestions.

The shortage of streamers forces us to minimize game time as much as possible. We have already shown how three tournaments (even with 14-32 players) can be covered, even solo — but not in live streaming mode. Here, everything is different.

As far as I understand, it's endless. Anyone can become a participant.
But the team captains will decide who gets to play. They will also keep their participants informed about everything.

The issue of testing with truly strong players seems utopian.

I confirm, I have encountered this many times myself. Until you put it to the test in a tournament, no one will even bother. Therefore, all bugs have to be found in real-world conditions.

When iterating through templates.

Ideally, it would be good to collect statistics on the duration of matches on different templates. I haven't collected such data for Shades of Darkness, but in Horn of the Abyss, for IP and Mirrors-2, it was roughly like this:

4) mt-Diamond - 17
5) Mini-Nosta - 19
6) Spider - 21

This is the average arithmetic mean of duration.
Statistics involve more numbers, and it would be good to actually use your head to think about what they mean.

They should be ashamed to even think about joining the Russian national team while Gomungul, LuckyF, and FTS are still active.

That's correct – the teams have no size limitations. I'm currently trying to find captains for the teams. It's certain that Twaryna won't be a captain and won't participate either. And Lizard should participate, but we need a different captain. There's still no news from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. If nothing becomes clear, I'll choose the captains myself. Don't complain later.

Here, the relative figures are important, not the absolute ones.

As I understand it, the minimum number of participants in a team is 2 people. Isn't that a bit too few? Perhaps the rule allowing a player to repeat in the decisive match is unnecessary. Or are there simply very few teams available?

The Serbian team consists of 2 people. There are also teams with 3 people. However, it's not always certain that all of them will be able to play.

What if there are 50 people in the team? :D

When I first read the post in this thread, I was reminded of the intergalactic chess tournament in New Vasuki. But it seems that everything is gaining real momentum, and I am incredibly happy about it!
