I. General Questions.
1. Throughout the entire tournament, each participant plays as their chosen favorite race.
2. Game Version SoD 3.2 (4.0) + HD mod 5.0 beta 11 + patch HW_rules_1.38
3. The right to choose the Color is subject to negotiation.
4. Template Selection is carried out by crossing off from a list of 9 templates: 2SM4d(3), Anarchy (200%) Jebus cross, Mini-Nostalgia, Diamond, 8mm6a, 6LM10a, 8xm12a and Spider. The right to be the first to cross off a template is determined by a coin toss. The player who "wins the toss" chooses who will cross off first.
By mutual agreement, playing on any other template is permitted. This matter must be discussed in advance with the tournament judges.
5. If two identical races meet in a match, the template is chosen from the list: 2SM4d(3), Anarchy (200%) Jebus cross, Mini-Nostalgia, Diamond, 8mm6a, 6LM10a, 8xm12a, Spider, mir_diamond and mir_h3dm1.
In this case, the right to choose the starting hero is subject to negotiation. Players take turns (first the one who won the color bid, then their opponent) crossing off one undesirable hero from the full list of heroes; thereafter, players inform each other of the amount of gold they are willing to transfer to the opponent for the right of first choice among the remaining heroes. The player who bids the higher amount chooses the hero first and transfers the gold to the opponent.
On the mir_diamond and mir_h3dm1 templates, each player has one subjective restart at 111.
6. Rules are standard.
The default timer is chess own, with parameters as specified in the rules.
Mage Guild rebuilding is ENABLED on all templates. There are NO restrictions on using the library.
Any changes to the game rules by mutual consent of the players are permitted, except for changing the Favorite Castle and the Fair Play rule.
Additional rules for templates:
Mini-Nostalgia. The tournament participant who received the blue color as a result of negotiations starts choosing the computer secondary castles.
Diamond. The participant who received the red color as a result of negotiations removes the extra (ninth) castle. If favorite castles are identical, then first red removes one castle, then blue removes the second.
Anarchy Difficulty 200%. Color for the first generation is chosen by coin toss; during a subjective restart - change of color. Played without the HW_rulez checkbox. When playing with identical castles, heroes are chosen by agreement; if no agreement can be reached - randomly.
For templates h3dm1 and mt_diamond
2.8. Castle restrictions.
2.8.1. In the Conflux castle, it is forbidden to upgrade level 1, 6, and 7 monsters.
When playing as Conflux, the starting hero is chosen randomly during map generation.
2.8.2. In the Necropolis castle, it is forbidden to build the Necromancer Amplifier.
2.8.3. If a computer player's castle has upgrades for level 1, 6, and 7 monsters in Conflux or level 4 in Necropolis, then upgrading your own troops of these levels and hiring upgraded versions of creatures is forbidden. If the Necromancer Amplifier is built, upgrading vampires is forbidden, but additional skeletons do not need to be dismissed.
2.9. It is forbidden to assemble the Cloak of the Dead King artifact. All other composite artifacts are permitted to be assembled.
II. Organizational Questions.
1. The tournament is official and regular.
2. Tournament goals:
- play as a favorite castle and attempt to prove its strength,
- gain valuable experience, improve your level of play.
3. The tournament is conducted according to the Rules for organizing, conducting, and participating in tournaments.
4. Players listed on the Black List and Penalty Bench are not eligible to participate in the tournament.
5. Tournament leads and judges:
Tournament Lead: Scorpiona (ICQ 469326983)
Tournament Judge: FireToSky (ICQ 414574626)
If a disputed issue cannot be resolved independently, the judges will seek assistance from the AC.
The lead has the right to make any changes to the regulations and rules during the tournament if necessary.
6. The maximum number of tournament participants is 128; if there are more than 128 applicants, qualifying games will be held. Organizers reserve the right to refuse registration to any player without a public explanation of reasons.
7. For each match played, participants must submit a report and confirmation in this thread, created automatically.
Saves for all matches must be kept until the end of the tournament and presented upon first request by the tournament lead or any member of the AC.
8. Information on the progress of the tournament is updated as necessary and is located at the beginning of this thread.
9. All tournament games go into the seasonal rating. The list of tournament reports is also located at the beginning of this thread.
10. The tournament winner gains the right to participate in the "Final Battle 12" tournament
11. The tournament winner and players who take 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded Medals for their avatars:
Award authors: RAPER and ColdRain.
III. Deadlines.
All tournament participants must strictly observe the announced deadlines:
1. Immediately after the start of a stage or round, contact your opponent(s) for preliminary game arrangements. To agree means to reach an agreement after negotiations and discussion. A proposal without a response will not be considered an agreement.
2. Temporary problems (with internet, travel, personal) must be reported to the tournament leads.
3. Preferred time for tournament games is daytime (12-24 MSK) on weekends and evening (19-24 MSK) on weekdays. If a participant is unable to play at this time, the lead interprets the absence of a game result in favor of their opponent.
Registration - November 07 - November 28, 2017.
Approval of the participants list - November 29-30, 2017.
Draw - December 1, 2017. The draw will be conducted taking into account the declared castle and the participant's level of play based on results from other tournaments.
Tournament Start - December 1, 2017.
IV. Regulations.
The planned format is standard: group stage and Full Double Elimination.
4 people advance from the groups. 1st-2nd place go to the upper bracket, 3rd-4th place go to the lower bracket of the Double Elimination.
In case of an equal number of points, places are distributed by additional indicators (in order of priority):
1. Berger Coefficient.
2. Head-to-head match.
3. If it is impossible to determine those advancing to the playoffs by previous indicators, players will be offered a scheme of tie-breaker games. At this moment, it is impossible to foresee all possible combinations of results. Therefore, the final scheme will be designed based on the situation that develops in the groups by the end of the stage.
Win - 3 points; loss - 0; draw - 1 point (counted at stage 211+ upon review by organizers)
The group stage will have a mandatory grid of games by rounds (see regulations).
Playing additional matches is permitted (by agreement), but the absence (without a valid reason) of a mandatory game results in a tech loss. If you are traveling, play and agree in advance with your opponent and notify the organizer.
