I'm booking a double deluxe room in Anapa.
Who should I send the prepayment to?

Regarding Anapa:
All possible preparatory work has been done:
- discussed with the hotel (prices confirmed + discount)
- internet and room conditions checked on-site by asm
- discussed the arrangement of tables in the cafe for the games

and so on. Even the application is ready, and the prices are as follows:

Price calculation per person for 7 days, similar to Volgograd-2017:
1) 4200 rubles – accommodation, average 600 rubles/day, including 100 rubles reserve fund
2) 1050 rubles – breakfast, 150 rubles
3) 2000 rubles – prize contribution for participants
4) 500 rubles – contribution to the prize pool for spectators (excluding girls and children)

Total: 5750 rubles/spectator and 7750 rubles/participant (including a reserve fund of 700 rubles per person for 7 days)

BUT!!!

The calendar of holidays indicates that it would be more convenient for most people to have it during the May Day holidays, and not during the Victory Day holidays, because May 9th falls on a Wednesday and is not combined with any other holidays :(

According to the calendar, the ideal dates are April 29 - May 6 (8 days), with only two working days.

Personally, I will most likely not be able to attend during the May Day holidays, so I am not ready to take on the organization. If there are those who want to be the organizer(s), I am ready to pass on all the information and materials to reliable hands and help until the event itself.

I apologize that I probably won't be able to bring this good cause to the end... and I'm also disappointed.

After the New Year, I might go to http://prizyv-center.ru/, see it with my own eyes, check it out, and assess the financial aspect. The prices there don't seem too high, and the location seems great for most people. And if we consider 50+ people, the option becomes even more interesting, I think, in terms of financial costs.

I'll say it again – right now, Moscow simply looks like the most attractive option for me, considering family vacation plans – in terms of travel and location – but otherwise, it's not a big deal; it all comes down to money.

I really don't want to go to Moscow.

Eventually, you'll understand that CIS tournaments shouldn't be held at resorts! It won't be a tournament for the players! I don't know any decent players who would sit down with determination and seriousness to play when half of the others are hanging out on beaches, in swimming pools, in bars, or at other entertainment venues! Maybe just a few, for whom relaxation as such is not interesting. Tournaments should be held in cities far from the sea and active recreation! But other meetings, trips, and gatherings can be held anywhere. But the annual determination of the CIS Champion in Heroes is definitely not a resort version!

Considering that, as previously mentioned in a similar thread, the CIS tournament was initially conceived not only as a way to hang out and play games, but also as an opportunity to travel to new places. Moscow is a good candidate in terms of location for the tournament, but, personally, it's not the most interesting place to visit. The tournament in Odessa was one of the best – therefore, I disagree with the statement that a "resort" version of the tournament is worse than a "non-resort" version.

To be able to choose what I want/don’t want, we need to at least find out who is willing to take on the organization. Right now, there’s simply nothing to choose from.

I don't know who came up with the idea of holding CIS tournaments with the goal of traveling to new places...
The main event is always a "live" tournament with high-level players. For those who come to relax as spectators, resort options are definitely more interesting. For those who come as participants, it's not critical whether it's a resort or not, as long as there's a capable organizer.
Therefore, the key factors were, are, and will remain the local organizers. There are too many small details to sort out, and you need to be prepared for too many different situations. Therefore, going as "wildcards" to a place without a local organizer (i.e., an organizer who knows where, what, and how in that specific city) means risking the main tournament.

I agree, you should be actively exploring during a trip, not just relaxing; you can relax at home after work. :)

P.S. Odessa, yes! How did you manage to organize things there? We could also do it in Kyiv.

Surprisingly, there hasn't been a CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) event in Moscow ("the capital of all of Russia," as they say) yet. P.S. They have rockets, and even... there's a guy - Stinger!!!

I have nothing against Ukraine! I have relatives and a place to live there. But I think the current life and political situation won't allow us to hold a proper CIS tournament there, and some strong players won't be able to attend this tournament.
