Today, I finally managed to reach rank 5 on the arena, hooray! And I got a rune as a reward, of all things. The options were Blood and Haven, but I've already played a lot with Blood in ranked, and I completed the previous run (3 wins) with Haven.



Here's the deck I used:


It looks pretty awkward, with no real sigils or spells, it's hard to understand what's going on. However, it turned out to be surprisingly good.

Stella only pulled Castors and Scorpions, but they were quite useful - the first one stayed on the board for a long time thanks to its effect, and the second one took down the big wards. Lightning Lancers provided an advantage in evolution trades. The Abomination was mostly a good bluff, but in one game, I almost managed to evolve it, with the help of Melvi, and on the next turn, Snow appeared, and the opponent was forced to urgently spend his last evolve and kill the Abomination follower, as I had board control, and he didn't seem to have any removal.

Erasmus turned out to be the real win condition. In three out of five games, I brought him out on turn 9, and after that, the battles ended quickly, as the opponents could no longer regain control.

I specifically didn't play Melvi to limit the opponent's options, and it worked - he couldn't clear the board, and Erasmus finished him off. :smile54:

As a reward, I received 2 Starforged packs and 200 rupees, but unfortunately, I didn't get anything good.

I usually don't post weekly reports, but I can't help but share this. Click here. It's unclear where all these "de-cipher" players came from, but the meta currently looks balanced, perhaps the most balanced it's been in a long time. And the gap between the first and second-best decks has narrowed. Ah, I want to take my valet forest deck and dominate, but I need to draw T_T
Yes, the aggro blood deck has a 60% win rate, but I suspect they're here to take revenge on the "de-cipher" deck.

P.S. Today, I dominated with the valet dragon in daily challenges; it's an unreal experience. The infinite value and synergy are amazing, and Syvilla is my savior, but if you get bricked in the early game, you can just concede. Although... getting bricked with the valet forest deck is even more fun, haha.

I would really like to see which version of the map editor is currently being used by mapmakers.

So, I went into the shop, and there was a promo going on. I opened a pack of Bahira, and there it was...

Now, to complete the collection, I just need the non-animated altart. It's funny, I don't really like crafting in general, and I don't really like Dashulya (I used to hate her, but now I've gotten over it), but the game keeps giving me cool rune legends. Three Merlins, two chimeras, now I have a complete set of Dashulyas, I just need Ozia and Stell, which is ironic, because I actually like the Grinder.

People on Reddit are complaining that D-Shift ruins control. But they are wrong. It's not D-Shift that ruins control, but this dirty duo...

It was very anticlimactic because the guy in the decisive match conceded to me on turn 2 after seeing my Unicorn, but whatever, I sweated and suffered so much that I think I deserve a little bit of luck.

How do people even play Aggro Sylvan? It's ridiculous. In all my games, I never get the Elven Song. In 146 games out of 100, I just lose to all the fairies and by the sixth round, I'm stuck with top-tier decks. It's impossible to kill a beetle or cockroach, Lisa is useless, the enemy has much stronger units, this lizard thing only appeared once and didn't help at all. Overall, the cockroach strategy is much easier.

Another player from HW has reached the Master rank. Hurray!



Passed the trials on the first try, used Vengeance Blood. Great deck, it's been significantly more effective than Mice lately.

Funny thing — when I realized I wouldn't be interested in playing mostly Necro anymore, I decided to level up other classes just for a change of pace so I wouldn't get bored of it too quickly. Great logic, right? I think it was already a kind of expression of fatigue from my favorite deck. It became a turning point; I seriously got into other classes, and my interest in the game grew because of it. I found other favorite decks with better win rates, hence the spread of wins. Maybe I would've reached Master faster if I'd focused more on climbing instead of experimenting with everything, but that's what I wanted, and it was definitely worth it.

The biggest revelations for me were Haven and Dragon. I love playing strong followers and controlling the board, so Aegis became the perfect control deck for me. It's a shame that in the current meta, the only Haven deck worth running is Storm, unless you want an auto-loss against every D-Shift you come across. But I like Storm Haven too, and it fits the leader. I bought Garuda just so I wouldn't have to play as Eris, who annoyed me, and frankly, I never imagined I'd actually grow to like that feathered face as a leader, lol.

Dragon appealed to me for the same reasons, and given the class mechanics, there was plenty of room to maneuver. I got lucky pulling some great legendaries for Dragon, and that was the start — I gave up trying to squeeze out wins with Discard, even though I'd leveled it up pretty well by then, and invested a ton of vials into a good deck for this class. Never regretted it; playing Dragon is almost the most fun of all.

I have the most wins with Sword, mainly thanks to an aggro build with Frog during the VD, which, funny enough, was the first meta deck I created for this class (the last class I brought up to meta standards, but it turned out to be the most effective). Before that, I was running some homemade nonsense that surprisingly yielded decent results until it became completely outdated.

Overall, I'm happy with my path to the Master rank. I got a ton of excitement and enjoyment out of it. Many thanks to Revan for popularizing this game here back in the day; I probably wouldn't have found out about it otherwise or gotten interested.

Ever since I built the deck, I dreamed of bringing them all out in a single battle, and one day it actually happened! I was up against a Sword player, and I risked getting hit by Albert from topdeck (the opponent was obviously waiting for that), but I just couldn't pass up such an opportunity.
I only managed to pull that off once, and it's the only one because once Snow White came out, there was no need to run three Aegises in the deck.

Gratz, Fragment. I just can't seem to get my act together. I'm having a hard time with Aggro-less. I think I'll follow your example and switch between Sylvan and Stronghold, depending on my mood. Or maybe I'll try other classes.

He was playing an aggro deck and almost beat me, he reduced me to 7 health with a cockroach and returned it to his hand. He has two 1/1 units on the board, and I have an evolved BB. It's the eighth round. I take a risk, play Lucifer, and attack with my BB – basically saying, "Do what you need to do, but if you need a clear board for your cockroach combo, you can trade." Lucifer heals me to 11. I pass the turn to him. Dramatic pause.
He concedes.

And yes. Yesterday, I made a firm decision – instead of playing a mid-range Sylvan deck, I'm going to play a valkyrie Sylvan deck. In theory, it loses to a Dish deck, but against other decks, it's generally stronger than the mid-range version. The first match was against a Dish deck.
The Dish player lost. There's no counter to a BB-Lom.
