I signed up for MMA today. No, I'm not giving up historical fencing. Yes, I'm a maniac. I have a new, crazy dream – to participate in no-rules fights. Actually, I've had a similar dream for a long time, I just found out about STRELKA yesterday. I feel like my mom will kill me for signing up. I can already imagine the dialogue:
-- Mom, Dad, I need to tell you something very important. You probably won't understand, but I can't keep it to myself anymore.
-- Don't worry, you're our son, and we love you for who you are.
-- I'm an MMA fighter.
-- Get out!!!
I hope that training twice a day, every day, will turn me into a killing machine. Like this machine.
But then it will turn out that because of the crazy schedule and overtraining, I'll turn from a 72 kg weakling into a 65 kg weakling, with a height of 185 cm, I'll have chronic headaches from constant beatings and lack of sleep, I won't be able to study due to lack of time, and in the end, I'll mess up so much that they won't even take me into the army.
I'll write about my impressions later; today was just a wrestling training session. They have everything organized by weeks: one week of wrestling, another of striking, a third for physical training, and so on.

The sky is playing tricks.
More like it.

Two guys are sitting on a bench. Suddenly, the sky darkens, and with a loud thud, a mountain of a man walks by, accompanied by a herd of elephants, interrupting their conversation.
-- Who was that?
-- Invincible Joe.
-- Wow... Is he really invincible?!
*shrugs* -- Yeah, but who needs him anyway.

I already posted these pictures. I'll post them again to reiterate my position.

My cousin and his cousin were both involved in this for a long time, starting with some youthful activities and then moving on to more serious training. I didn't communicate much with my cousin's cousin, but he was supposedly the champion of Ukraine and the CIS in his weight class (or at least he was). As for my brother, his entire wall was covered in medals. Basically, the point is that my cousin is a pretty good guy, honest, not aggressive, and won't fight without a reason, but his cousin will throw punches at anyone for any reason. And here's the trick: my brother is half Ukrainian and half Russian, while his cousin has Middle Eastern blood. As for the pictures, being trained and having skills is objectively better than not being trained and not having skills. The question is, what are the consequences of such training? You could end up with a lot of concussions.

The point is that you can't protect yourself from everything, and you won't become an unstoppable killing machine.

Such training can take a lot of time, and spending it on that... well, it's debatable. better to just play Heroes of Might and Magic))0
It's a different story if you don't do anything else and don't have any other skills.

Be strong. Believe

I'll be satisfied if I consistently win in fair 1-on-1 battles.
Such training can take a lot of time, and spending it on that... well, it's not ideal. It's better to spend that time on Heroes of Might and Magic.
Well, it takes me about 4 hours a day, not including travel time. If you don't do anything other than training and studying, you'll have more or less an hour of free time. There might be some sleep problems, but show me someone who has both studies/work and a normal sleep schedule.

It will be enough for me to always or almost always win in fair 1-on-1 battles.
Then you can try to become a machine. Good luck. Just take care of yourself.

show me just one person who simultaneously has studies/work and gets enough sleep.
There are more than half of them.

It will be enough for me to know that in fair 1-on-1 battles, I will always or almost always win.
Well, I wouldn't say that it's "fair." If you are trained, experienced, and have the skills, then you still have an advantage over a simple ordinary person. But as it is, there's no point in fighting fairly in 2017. Why risk your health for... well, for what?
