My cousin and his cousin were both involved in this for a long time, starting with some youthful activities and then moving on to more serious training. I didn't communicate much with my cousin's cousin, but he was supposedly the champion of Ukraine and the CIS in his weight class (or at least he was). As for my brother, his entire wall was covered in medals.
Basically, the point is that my cousin is a pretty good guy, honest, not aggressive, and won't fight without a reason, but his cousin will throw punches at anyone for any reason. And here's the trick: my brother is half Ukrainian and half Russian, while his cousin has Middle Eastern blood.
As for the pictures, being trained and having skills is objectively better than not being trained and not having skills. The question is, what are the consequences of such training? You could end up with a lot of concussions.
