The second season started just the other day. The first season was somewhat mediocre, but towards the end, it picked up, and I got hooked. Also, the characters started to act less foolishly and stopped bickering over trivial things; they began to reveal their better sides. Too bad there are only four seasons; it's a really good series.

A great movie, I enjoyed it. I happened to see it on TV, and it piqued my interest. I decided not to watch it then, but to watch it from the beginning later. Recently, I almost randomly turned on the TV and heard the news about the death of the actor who starred in this movie. Hearing the familiar title, I remembered that I had once intended to watch it. It's interesting to trace the chains of events leading to one event or another. Sometimes you think about what would have happened if, for example, I had gone to university that day instead of staying home to sleep. Maybe it would have changed my whole life (for example, I might have been hit by a truck, which almost happened the other day, lol)? Or I wouldn't have gotten sick during the entrance campaign? Or I would have fallen headfirst from that tree near the school, instead of sideways? It's a pity that there isn't some kind of device that would allow you to see this. Ah... And you thought this was a movie review? You're wrong. If anyone is even reading this.

Rewatched Drive from 2011. The second time I liked it even more than the first.

I decided to go see a film by the best director of our time, essentially the heir to Kubrick and simply one of the geniuses of our era, namely Dunkirk by Nolan. I wasn't deterred by the negative reviews of this film. After all, it's not the first time that haters have criticized the masterful and unparalleled films of the maestro; that's what haters do. Obviously, the masses simply couldn't grasp the greatness of his films and therefore spoke ill of them. So, I went and saw the film. I find myself in a very difficult position trying to find words to describe this cinematic masterpiece, much like Locken after watching Prometheus. The only thing that remains after the film is the thought: "If he had filmed it about the USSR in World War II, half of the audience would recognize it as a masterpiece telling the truth, and the other half would accuse him of Russophobia and disrespect for veterans. Would British and French patriots react similarly?" That's basically it. There's no Hathaway, no Joker, no character development, almost no positive characters, and, by the way, no Germans either. I'm glad I saw this film in the cinema – at least I heard the BOOM BOOM of the bombs exploding in the theater; without that, the film is completely empty.

Conan, the Boy from the Future ("Future Boy Conan", 1978, Japan)
I decided to watch this series because it's Miyazaki's first independent work. And I must say, my expectations were met. So, what do we have here? The main character is a boy named Conan, living in a world that isn't very friendly to humans. You thought Chuck Norris was cool? That Hulk is strong? That Conan the Barbarian is a beast? Forget about these guys, Conan will chew them up and swallow them whole. In his free time, the kid kills man-eating sharks, destroys rocks on the island, and crushes airplanes...
But the anime is kind and positive, and I enjoyed it. The characters are very typical of Miyazaki, and I was drawn in (Captain Dice, for example, is cool). It's just a bit too long for my taste. I'll give it a 9/10.

A typical, heartwarming anime about a cute little witch, 10/10.

Why didn't I write about the movie "Spider-Man: Homecoming"?
Well, overall, I didn't like the idea behind this Spider-Man. Yes, we've seen a high school Spider-Man before; there were at least two animated series featuring a young Parker. But this is the first time I've seen such a… schoolboy. The problem is that the development of the new hero seems small and uninspired; it's all just some childish squabbles happening in the shadow of the Avengers (tm) and Iron Man (tm). The Spider-Man we know made himself who he is…
It's quite interesting that the film clearly has some kind of quota for black actors. Even Flash is black (and, I must say, he's somehow more unpleasant than usual. Apparently, the film about a high schooler needed another school bully, as usual).
Now, a little spoiler in spoiler font:
Since when is Mary Jane also not quite of European descent, not red-haired at all, and her name is "Michelle"?!
However, the character herself is quite cool, a quirky girl, even if she's not canon.
It's also annoying that Peter somehow reveals his superhero alter ego to everyone around him too easily. Did he forget to pay his intuition bill or something?
There are also some positive aspects. The gadgets in the film are quite good (it reminds me of the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, but Parker has never been so well-equipped in a movie before). The special effects are good (except for the final battle, which was just some incomprehensible mess). The guy himself, judging by his character, is not the worst Spider-Man I've seen. But he's not the best either. By the way, the actor is already quite an adult, as far as I understand, but he's playing a teenager. What will they do when Peter Parker turns 18, and the actor, for obvious reasons, won't get any younger?
The villain was also chosen, perhaps, successfully. Goblins and Octopuses are classics, but it was worth starting with something different for a change.
Well, that's all, I guess. Overall, it's not amazing, but it's watchable. And we'll still go to eat popcorn at the second movie… It's a fandom thing, what can you do.

Flash has always been a school bully, although he usually develops into a normal character later on. And in the comics, he even became a positive Venom and became one of the "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Magical Girl



Some very Spanish art-house film. But not bad.

For some reason, I don't feel like finishing Farscape, but I'm happy to watch cartoons.
