Hey guys, could you please help me out?
I decided to teach my wife how to play Heroes, but I'm having a problem: after saving the game, it won't load in multiplayer mode. More specifically, her profile doesn't appear there. It's only available in single-player mode, but even then, it's only with one player, and the second player turns into a computer-controlled opponent. I don't know what to do; I can't keep starting a new game every time. Besides, I don't remember this ever being a problem before.

A strange problem.

Are you not confusing anything? Perhaps when saving, you are getting a GM1 save instead of the desired GM2?

If so, GM1 can be loaded in a multiplayer game and in Hotseat as well.

(Are you by any chance loading through a campaign?

The problem might be that the map is not designed for multiplayer – in that case, the game won’t recognize it when loaded in this mode. In the map editor, in the map options, you need to set both players to be human.

It would be nice to post the map; it would make things clearer.
