I actually liked how the guys from MIT did the cryptanalysis in this movie.

I don't really understand what you're talking about. As far as I remember, the main character was just manually circling numbers, and that was it for the cryptanalysis.
And the last scenes of the movie just blew me away – children are running through some kind of mutating field of something (grains? sprouts? tentacles?) towards a single tree. Yes, that's paradise.
