09.08.09 the "Новичок-2009" tournament ended.

1. Tournament winners:
Эрдэм - 1st place
HeadHunter - 2nd place
Van - 3rd place

2. Prizes:
Эрдэм - medal for avatar
all three - a match with a strong player of their choice
(they chose Scorpio, LeBron and Paladin respectively).

3. The tournament schedule was strictly adhered to.

4. 28 people participated in the tournament.
Overall, there were no major problems. No cases of unfair play, cheating, map hacking, etc., were detected, although some saves were reviewed at the request of participants. All controversial situations were resolved quietly and amicably outside the forum and do not deserve mention. I will name those who took the tournament most seriously and played as many games as possible:

These players can be unconditionally allowed into any tournament; however, some are not very good, but their discipline is excellent.

5. Tournament discovery - player Van
He played all the games and lost only one – to the tournament winner. Very impressive. I also liked how Эрдэм, ~no1_knows_me~, Gomunguls and HeadHunter played and wrote their reports. And I cannot fail to note the only female participant: Самая-самая.

Sorry for being a bit formal. All emotions have already subsided during the process. But overall, I enjoyed it and want to do it again :)

Due to the sharp increase in the number of Tournaments and actively playing forum members, I suggest that the moderation team revamp this thread. Allow users to post information about planned Tournaments here, or create a new thread where all players who want to try their hand at organizing a Tournament can post details about upcoming Competitive events. In other words, create a Tournament Calendar for the next year.
Applications should be submitted in the following format: Avern - planning to host a Tournament on the 8mm6 map, tentative start date: February 2010, tentative number of participants: 12-16 people, Tournament pace: 1 game per week, Tournament format: qualifying round with 2-3 groups in a round-robin format, final - single-elimination bracket.
In the first post, a table can be created with planned Tournaments, indicating all the data: name, start date, how to contact the organizer, Tournament status (registration in progress, in progress, completed).

Why is this needed? This will allow all players and Tournament organizers to coordinate their schedules so that Tournaments do not overlap too much, so that players can accurately assess their strength, and so that, in the end, there are as few unplayed games as possible. It will immediately be clear when the main forum Tournaments, such as Best, will be held, and when the schedule is extremely busy: for example, when 8 Tournaments are running simultaneously.
Of course, each forum member retains the right to announce a new Tournament at any time, and no one is infringing on this right.
I just want all the information about the Tournament schedule to be collected in one thread and presented in a convenient format.
I could run such a thread, but I think the moderation team can handle it without me. :)

Orcs' Report (loi & redwhait)
The First Regular "Sergeant's" Tournament has concluded. The tournament lasted 2 months, ending a week earlier than planned; all stages were completed on time. Out of 52 games, only 2 ended with technical results, which shows that the absolute majority approached the tournament responsibly and it sparked genuine interest.
The tournament was intense. First place went to Gomunguls—he went 5 for 5 in the group stage and confidently executed a good setup as Barbarians in the final (the best Stronghold player, what do you expect :)...)—a worthy winner! Second place went to our own Mizrael, who also confidently passed the group stage (5 for 5), fought through the stubborn Wlk777, and had a clash in the semifinals with NumOne; however, in the final, fortune showed him its... fickleness. I would also like to mention NumOne, who took third place and once again proved his status as a top player.
After long deliberations with Pit (work on the reward began immediately at the start of the tournament; Pyotr created several options...), we decided to award the Badge of the Heroic Army Guardsman[/B] for the signature. The winner has the right to wear this distinction in their signature.
Thank you all for your responsible participation; we tried our best—and if we made mistakes, they were objective ones, I believe :).

Why aren't there any reports for the current year here?
It seems that in the Rules for organizing, conducting, and participating in online HOMM3 tournaments, the organizer is required to do this :).
