I'm having the same issue. I'm playing the last campaign with Zahir, and I decided to patch to version 1.6. New features appeared, but now my mouse cursor sometimes glitches, and the game inevitably crashes to the system after any mission ending. I specifically tested it on earlier saves – it's the same thing; it summarizes the results and crashes! Plus, there's some kind of glitch with the fonts; they're not proportional. It's possible that the fonts in the patch are overlapping with mine, which are TT fonts, and that's causing the glitch. Can anyone suggest what to do? :smile12:
P.S. Before this, I had version 1.41, and it worked perfectly.

Well, firstly, when installing a new patch, you will definitely have to replay the last mission you were on. It might even be necessary to replay the entire campaign. Also, you mentioned that you immediately installed version 1.6 after 1.41. What about version 1.5? Do you have any mods installed? When installing new patches, you need to remove the mods from the folder first, and only then say that something isn't working.

Do you mean that the cursor sometimes turns into the standard, Windows cursor? If so, I have the same problem; it seems to be one of the few unpleasant "new features," or rather, one of the bugs in patch 1.6.

In general, try starting the Campaigns again. Everything should work. To make sure that the problem is indeed that you can't finish missions because of the patch, play the very first mission of the first Campaign. It will take no more than 10 minutes. If everything is OK, then play to your heart's content, but start over. Most likely, you will have to replay the mission where you stopped. If that doesn't help, then replay the Campaign. Or, revert to version 1.41.

Sure :) A mod is short for modification. In most cases, mods change the appearance of creatures, the interface of the main menu, the game's text, and the balance. There are very simple ones that remove annoying messages (like "the hero can no longer move") and much more complex ones (for example, significantly changing the characteristics of creatures, the skill tree, etc., with the aim of making online battles more balanced and interesting)

Regarding the rollback, I understand. I already tried that yesterday. I replayed the mission, but the bug was the same. Then I replayed the first mission, and it was the same. Although, maybe I need to change the profile; that might help. I didn't quite understand about the mods – where to remove them. If the checkboxes in the options are one thing, and cleaning the folder with the installed game is another, maybe there's a link somewhere that explains what and where to remove after patching.

I already changed the mouse settings myself; it's not difficult. There's a bug with hovering over the fields. I just couldn't figure out the fonts.

I don't even know what could have caused these terrible glitches. I can only suggest creating a new profile and copying your saves there, as you said. If that doesn't help, reinstall the game and reapply all the patches. If that still doesn't work, then the problem is likely not with the game itself, but with something else.

In versions 1.5 and 1.6, the skill wheel differs from version 1.41. The Necropolis faction's skill wheel has definitely been changed. This might be the cause of some glitches.

Necro_Gamer, version 3.0 is an add-on for "Tribes of the East". When playing through the vanilla campaigns in version 3.0 (there is a mod that allows this), all the bugs from version 1.6 are present. However, there is a bug fix available for these versions. Without it, it is impossible to complete the 3rd mission of the 5th campaign because the purple faction does not attack the castle.
