I found it! I just completed the mission so quickly that I didn't even remember it.

I've been trying for three hours now. I can't finish the Stronghold. As soon as Zahir captures the third gold mine, a dwarf automatically appears, attacks the Dungeon, comes with a bunch of demons, loses, and – "mission failed."
What should I do?:confused:

What's the problem? The dwarf's troops aren't weaker than the demon's, and the hero is also well-leveled, so the town is taken without any problems. Maybe you're not using runes?

but I also suffered very heavy losses:
I have only 60 mages (combat units) and 260 gremlins left.
What would you advise? Should I replay the battle (it probably won't improve
the situation much - he's very strong) or
should I go back to the save before the battle - and let him run around?

valleriv, Zehir's army isn't that significant, except for the Titans. I bought them using his abilities. At the end of the mission, 4 decent stacks of level 7 units join you. If you don't take them right away, their numbers will increase by about 10% per week. In the final battle, I had 420 joined units and about 100 of my own – Biar was defeated.

Most likely, I'll have to replay the last mission as Wolfsten and leave him with a set of dwarven artifacts.
